Barely beaten a rival home in two starts to date, tailed off on each occasion. Longer trip may suit but sire's progeny rarely appreciate soft/heavy ground and this colt will make more appeal when sent handicapping.
A maiden after three starts but has hinted at ability and has been prominent in the betting on each occasion. Didn't get a clear run last time at Goodwood and worth giving another chance to.
Authorized colt, brother to Notarised (useful sort and winner over this trip) and half-brother to five more winners. Dam a winner over this trip. Yard can ready a debutante and worth monitoring in the market.
Rock Of Gibraltar colt, cost €65,000 as a yearling. Brother to five winners including Group 1 winner Prince Gibraltar. Green but shaped with promise on debut and looks sure to improve on that here; may be the one to beat with progress on the cards.
Golden Horn colt, finished third in front of Herman Hesse at Goodwood last time out. Should be able to build on that but probably vulnerable to anything above average.
Forecasts
Herman Hesse (11/8), Stag Horn (11/4), Salamanca School (10/3), Justified (6/1), Dangeroffizz (20/1)
Stag Horn and Herman Hesse are closely matched on their Goodwood form and the latter may be able to reverse placings with more luck in running here but preference is for SALAMANCA SCHOOL who performed well on debut at Ayr and is expected to improve from that here. Any market support for the newcomer Justified is worth consideration.
