Successful in a soft-ground 6f novice on debut at Haydock, and not discredited when fifth to Gravity Force under a penalty at Ayr (7f, good/firm) last time. Return to more testing conditions will help, and not dismissed.

Runner-up to a promising sort on Newcastle debut, and built on that to land a 7f novice at Ayr last time with Duesenberg 1½L back in fifth. Not much to choose between them on revised terms.

Poet's Voice half-brother to 1m winner Gold Falcon and 1m3f winner Majestic Stone. A very cheap purchase, he is best watched, for all yard had a rare 2-y-o debutant winner here last month.
Dark Angel half-brother to smart 7f/1m winners Secret Ambition and Royal Marine, out of a half-sister to Dubai Destination. Yard just 1-16 with debutants here in last few years, but this superbly-bred colt takes the eye on paper and needs respect.

Out of a half-sister to Prix Robert Papin winner Family One. Better than the result when sixth of 11 to Amaysmont in a maiden at Carlisle (6f, good/soft) on debut, and place claims with marked improvement likely.

Excuses from a wide draw on nursery bow at Chester last time, but solid form claims on previous second in a 7f maiden at Musselburgh. More exposed than others, but ought to be thereabouts.

Son of Casamento who showed some ability when 3¾L seventh of 10 to Gravity Force on debut at Ayr, but held by a couple of these on that running, and needs to improve to take a hand.
Cheaply-bought brother to 1¼m winner Archduchess and half-brother to useful 1¼m winner Edya and 1½m-1¾m winner Dame Nellie. Likely to need initial experience, and market should guide in relation to connections' other runner, Itojeh.

Cityscape half-brother to useful winner up to 1m½f Saboteur and 6f-1m1f winner Give It Some Teddy. One of two representing same connections here, and yard's only debutant 2-y-o winner since 2017 sprung an 80/1 shock.

Horse silk
4/1
Dark Angel half-brother to 5f winner School Run and useful 1m winner Noor Sahara out of a half-sister to smart sprinter Land of Dreams, herself dam of July Cup winner Dream Ahead. One of two for top yard, and demands a market check given pedigree.

66/1
Out of useful juvenile Jamesbo's Girl, and shaped a little better than the result when 7¾L ninth of 12 to Hartswood in a 7f novice at Thirsk, missing the break and looking green. Sure to do better in time, although this looks tough.

Always behind and never offered any indication of his ability when last of seven in a 1m Hamilton novice in late-August, and while he fared marginally better at Ayr last time, he's either limited or is being brought along with handicaps in mind.

2/1
By Lope de Vega out of a useful half-sister to Cesarewitch and Queen Alexandra winner Oriental Fox. Made a promising start when neck second of 8 to Wyclif in a7f novice at York, and stiffer test afforded by the going will surely be in his favour.

16/1
Best effort when second on soft ground over 6f at York in July, and while she failed to match that last time, the return to testing ground gives her place claims if seeing out this longer trip.

Forecasts

Vega Magic (2/1), Sports Reporter (4/1), Duesenberg (6/1), Embolden (7/1), Gravity Force (11/1), Camouflaged (11/1), Dilithium (16/1), Abbey Wharf (16/1), Got The T Shirt (33/1), Starbo (66/1), Binyon (66/1), I'm Easy (80/1), Twin Paradox (100/1), Itojeh (100/1)

Verdict

VEGA MAGIC shaped well in a decent novice at York, and if he handles the softer ground, should prove hard to beat, although newcomer Camouflaged is a half-brother to last year's Prix Jean Luc Lagardere winner Royal Marine, and would be a threat to all if living up to his pedigree. Embolden had valid excuses last time, and sets the standard on his previous form, so ought to be thereabouts.
  1. Vega Magic
  2. Camouflaged
  3. Embolden
