Cause for optimism on some of last year's AW form, but she has been below those levels this year. Beginning to ease to a fair mark, but not seen enough encouragement to take the risk.
Handicap debutant showed minor encouragement without threatening in three novice events before this. Handicaps will suit better but opening mark looks harsh.
Broke his maiden at the sixth attempt at Chelmsford (1m2f) on last race on AW. Disappointing at Brighton on turf since bur return to this surface makes him interesting again and jockey booking catches the eye.
Overcame wide draw when staying on stoutly under pressure to break maiden at Lingfield over this trip two starts back and ran another fine race over 1m2f on AW when second at Chelmsford. Bold bid expected once more.
Form since joining this yard had been promising so no major surprise when he gained maiden success latest in a 1m2f Bath handicap. Still lightly raced and ran well enough here in lone AW run for previous yard.
Long-standing maiden ran well enough at Chepstow latest but that was in a seller and rarely had she looked remotely close to well treated in handicaps before that.
Twice placed maiden ran pretty well when upped in grade at Sandown latest as she finished fourth of the nine runners. Still progressing it seems so can't be dismissed here.
Promising fifth over this trip at Newcastle on handicap bow before seemingly not staying 2m at Lingfield latest. Must step her game up but surprise if there's not improved effort lurking.
Left three two-year-old races well and truly behind when a ready winner at 12/1 on handicap debut at Brighton last month over 1m4f. Only 3lb higher and given latest was her fourth run and first in 10 months surely she can improve plenty.
Seven-race unplaced maiden's handicap mark is dropping rapidly but at present we haven't seen nearly enough from her.
15-race maiden placed just once in nine races for this yard and although he has finished fourth the last twice others can ultimately boast more compelling claims.
Got a bit closer when fourth of 14 at Lingfield in August (tongue tied for first time), but couldn't maintain that progress the last twice on turf or AW. Others more appealing.
Made the frame for the first time at Chelmsford two starts back and while he couldn't repeat the feat at Bath latest he ran to a similar level of form. Place prospects again here.
Regressive maiden getting ever further from being competitive and makes little appeal here with draw the final nail in his coffin.
Forecasts
Sandy Steve (2/1), Fame N Fortune (13/2), Atalanta Breeze (8/1), Guroor (10/1), Uncertain Smile (10/1), Yvette (12/1), Ragstone Cowboy (12/1), Four Mile Bridge (14/1), Duke Of Dunabar (14/1), Red Secret (20/1), Miss Elsa (33/1), Asensio (40/1), Miss Pollyanna (80/1), Lynchpin (150/1)
Having won on her handicap and seasonal debut ATALANTA BREEZE looks to have gotten off very lightly with a 3lb handicap rise so she is fancied to follow up here given improvement could be plentiful given the latest was her first run in 10 months. Others with likable claims include Fame N Fortune who is in fine form and Ragstone Cowboy who is progressing since joining Gary Moore.
- Atalanta Breeze
- Fame N Fortune
- Ragstone Cowboy
