Verdict

In a wide-open contest the vote goes to Roger Charlton's JUNIOR RIP who is clearly a progressive performer at this stage of his career and after a trio of excellent efforts at Chelmsford it's hard to envisage anything but another bold bid. Fellow three-year-olds Purdey's Gift and Puerto Banus are both quite lightly raced and have hinted that their best days may lie ahead.
