Appreciated the return to calmer waters when scoring over hurdles at Ffos Las for this yard before being transferred to Richard Spencer for a Flat campaign (useful form on occasions). Now back over hurdles at a level he should feel comfortable at.

Made little impact in two bumpers three months apart at Hereford and Stratford; well beaten both times. Brother to a useful hurdler in Buckle Street so may do better in this sphere; likely to need some time though, long-term project.

Not one to trust on the Flat (serial refuser); looks a different sort over hurdles having scored over C&D on her second start (hurdles debut looks strong form). Temperamental issues may well have resurfaced last time at Perth; comes with risks.

Half-brother to three winners who was a red-hot favourite on his bumper debut at Worcester but finished well held (beaten 13L). Whilst he failed to meet expectations it's too soon to write him off now, he goes hurdling; not totally straightforward.

Returns to hurdling having shown some fair form on the Flat in the past (looks to be going through the motions of late). There was little promise in his earlier outings over obstacles; others would hold far more acceptable claims.

Little to take heart from when looking at the four Irish outings so far in one bumper and three hurdles outings. Now starts life for a new yard but with little expectation; can only be watched on the evidence so far.

Fair stayer on the Flat but he's yet to really show any of that ability over hurdles. Back into novice company after making his handicap debut last time; not one to be interested in.

9/4
Bumper winner on his third start straight after a wind op he looked to have learnt something from his hurdling debut when last seen at Bangor (still very free). Looks the sort to keep moving forward although needs to settle better; one for handicaps.

33/1
Friendless in the betting on his hurdling debut he shaped better than his finishing position giving some hope for the future. He is a half-brother to a useful hurdler (Wolf of Windlesham); may do better in the future in handicaps.

Forecasts

Lantiern (9/4), Book Of Invasions (9/4), Statuario (5/2), Nordican Bleue (5/2), Duck Egg Blue (9/2), Framley Garth (16/1), Pinchpoint (33/1), Felicissimus (33/1), Debden Bank (66/1), Getaway North (66/1), Hediddodinthe (100/1)

Verdict

NORDICAN BLEUE looks the sort to continue on the up having won two of her last three starts (one over C&D) with the form of her one defeat looking very strong as an additional tick in the box against her form. Duck Egg Blue was behind the suggestion on her hurdling debut and she’s another C&D winner although the temperamental problems that have blighted her Flat career may have started to reappear last time. Book Of Invasions and Felissimus are both making their hurdling debut with the former looking to have the stronger form and chance. Statuario has been busy on the Flat of late and returns to the Bowen yard who were in charge for his 21L Ffos Las win.
