In and out but registered three wins this year, the latest coming on heavy ground at Haydock (5f) last month. Bombed out at that venue last time out and may be in the grip of the handicapper.

Last victory came at Haydock three starts ago and was a respectable fifth in C&D handicap last week. Can't be discounted but has a little extra to find.

In good form since the application of headgear, winning at Carlisle before narrowly denied over 6f at this track eight days ago. No reason why he shouldn't give another bold account.

Convincing winner over C&D in atrocious conditions last month but couldn't handle 7lb or the surface at Newcastle (5f) last time. Last two wins have come here though so dangerous to ignore.

Last win came at Carlisle in August but ran no sort of race when ninth over C&D last week. Will need to leave that run behind him against some in-form rivals.

Had been suffering a tough year but bounced back to form to land C&D handicap on latest start. Quickly turned out but has penalty to contend with in a stronger race.

Shock winner at Thirsk during the summer but found wanting recently, including below par run here last week. Likely his victory was a one-off.

Forecasts

Autumn Flight (1/1), Groundworker (5/1), Popping Corks (6/1), Marietta Robusti (8/1), Somewhere Secret (9/1), Naples Bay (12/1), I'll Be Good (20/1)

Verdict

AUTUMN FLIGHT has proved to be somewhat of a revelation since the application of blinkers and rather enhanced his profile with a brave defeat here last week. He's better weighted with some re-opposing rivals this time and is dangerously left on the same mark by the handicapper. Groundworker can be forgiven for his last effort and is a threat at this track and these ground conditions, while Popping Corks was victorious here last time but the hefty penalty she must carry is off-putting.
  1. Autumn Flight
  2. Groundworker
  3. Popping Corks
