Reeled off a hat-trick with wins at Beverley (7½f, good to firm), Ripon (1m, soft) and Chelmsford (1m, AW) to take him up to an official rating of 96 which sets the bar high here and he will be a tough nut to crack again.
Much improved when upped markedly in trip to 1m½f at Hamilton latest as he relished heavy ground and galloped his rivals into submission. That form not as strong as King's Caper's but he can improve again.
Left fair if underwhelming debut behind when impressing at Ffos Las latest over this trip despite a tardy start. Big step up on that needed here however.
Forecasts
Grand Rock (5/4), King's Caper (13/8), Night Colours (9/4)
KING'S CAPER is clearly progressing at a rapid rate now and Mark Johnston's charge has been found a good a spot to land the four-timer. Grand Rock is probably a bigger danger than Night Colours and the deeper the ground the better for him after winning on heavy latest.
