Outperformed his 33-1 SP on debut, when under 3L fourth at Leicester (7f, good to firm) recently. That was encouraging, and he should be capable of improvement and go very close here, provided he handles testing ground.
16-1 on debut, when getting the hang of things steadily and finishing 5L seventh of 10 at Salisbury (1m, good). Should be capable of better this time, and enters calculations if acting on heavy ground.
55,000gns yearling. Dam 1m winner, half-sister to 6f Group 3 winner Girouette and Group-placed 7½f-1m winner Prince D'Alienor. Stable's turf 2yos 11% this season, and can have debut winners, so a market check looks advisable.
Has made a good start to his career, finishing in the money on his first three starts, before being held on his handicap debut. Handles good to soft, but yet to race on softer. Looks more exposed than most, but should be thereabouts.
Has shown a decent level of ability, particularly when beaten just a neck at Nottingham (1m½f, good to soft) last month. Not as good at Pontefract last time, but entitled to consideration here.
66-1 and beaten 7L on debut at York (7f, good to firm) last month. However, he stayed on strongly there and this step up to 1m, plus the benefit of that experience, could see him produce much more this time. Interesting.
90,000gns. Half-brother to 6f-1m winner Sporting Chance (inc 2yo Group 3). Dam 1m4f AW winner, sister to 5f winners Vinson Massif and James Bond Girl. Stable's 2yos enjoying an excellent year (27%), so no surprise to see him go close on debut.
Forecasts
You Owe Me (7/2), Emaraty Hero (4/1), Damage Control (5/1), Pot Of Paint (5/1), Bottom Bay (6/1), Embolden (13/2), Green Book (8/1)
You Owe Me is a very interesting debutant here and it would be no surprise to see him go close, while Bottom Bay, Damage Control, Embolden and Green Book are all respected, with perhaps the former pair open to more improvement than the latter. However, POT OF PAINT was really getting to grips with things towards the end of his debut. He could come on plenty for that, and a chance is taken on him.
