Progressive Gutaifan colt (a shade unfortunate not to be unbeaten); made all, finding extra when well on top of the subsequent Chepstow scorer Music Therapist at Chelmsford (6f) four weeks ago; handles cut; very tough to beat on nursery debut.

Never competitive on nursery debut at York (Class 2, 6f good); had earlier charted a positive trajectory by winning maiden and conditions races at Pontefract and Musselburgh (both 5f); possibly flattered by a handicap mark of 90.

Improving with racing, taking another step forward when beating the Godolphin-owned Lost In Time by a ready 1L in a Windsor maiden (6f, good) six weeks ago; poor draw but certainly won't be an unconsidered 28-1 shot; nursery debut.

Progressive since upped to 6f; has been set a stiff task by the handicapper with a 9lb rise for a comfortable Class 5 Wolverhampton nursery win (6f) three weeks ago; useful draw, yet requires a career best performance.

Age: 2|  Weight: 8-10| J: Ray Dawson(5)| T: P D Evans| OR:  79
40/1
Kept busy early season, displaying ample early pace in building consistent form figures of 73221; off the track for 145 days since winning unchallenged at Bath (5f, firm) in May; connections must be rueful of a wide draw (stall 12) on nursery debut.

Keep Busy8
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-9| J: Harrison Shaw(3)| T: J & S Quinn| OR:  78| D
8/1
Dual 6f scorer; fluffed her chance with a slow start in the Listed Champion 2yo Trophy at Ripon (6f) in August; has twice ran well in defeat in competitive nurseries since, including when fourth to Aberama Gold at Ayr (6f, good) last week; chance.

Slightly disappointing since winning at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) in July, until showing more verve when fifth to Separate in a Class 3 nursery at Newbury (7f, good) last week; possible place contender from a handy draw; first-time cheekpieces.

Consistent (3232), and deserves to find a race sooner or later; is generally found wanting at the business end of his races, and that was again the case when beaten just over 1L by the unbeaten Dance Fever at Windsor (6f); nursery debut.

Runner-up in each of his first three starts (6f-7f); has slacked off since, including when an outpaced tenth of 17 to Aberama Gold on nursery debut at Ayr (6f, good) last week; has plenty to find with Keep Busy; unlikely candidate.

Off the mark at the fourth attempt in a Beverley maiden (5f, good) in August; backed that up with a similar effort at Catterick subsequently; reasonably interesting to see what she's capable of on nursery debut; place possible.

100/1
Runner-up in a Class 4 Catterick nursery (6f, soft) three starts back; hasn't beaten a single rival since, and his earlier efforts don't equate to that much either; far safer to look elsewhere for the solution.

Forecasts

Fuwayrit (11/8), St Ives (9/2), Stone Soldier (7/1), Keep Busy (8/1), Pop Dancer (8/1), Alix James (10/1), We're Reunited (10/1), Winning Streak (20/1), Great Dame (20/1), Kendred Soul (25/1), Heer We Go Again (40/1), Bob's Oss (100/1)

Verdict

A competitive nursery numerically, but the progressive top-weight FUWAYRIT is strongly fancied to blow away his rivals from the perfect draw. Mark Johnston's juvenile can be considered a shade unfortunate not to be defending an unbeaten record, and with the 'King Of Chester' Franny Norton aboard is expected to ping the lids and take some pegging back, with the equally pacy Heer We Go Again less favourably drawn. In terms of an each-way alternative, the likes of Keep Busy (J. Quinn) and Kendred Soul (J. O'Keeffe) catch the eye, with the improving Stone Soldier (J. Given) dealt a harsh hand by the handicapper (9lb rise) for his Class 5 Wolverhampton win.
  1. Fuwayrit
  2. Keep Busy
