Most of his win have come on good to firm ground, although he does appear to be reasonably versatile - close third to Breanski in a Class 2 at Doncaster (7f, soft) on his penultimate start; 5lb above his last winning mark.
Handy around Chester, albeit often over shorter trips; does handle cut underfoot; just failed by a short-head to reel in stablemate Gabrial The Tiger over 6f here (good) a fortnight ago; 1lb better off; key player granted the breaks.
Dual C&D scorer (2015 and 2016); won for Jane Elliott over 1m at Haydock (good to soft) in June - now 3lb higher; folded from the furlong pole when finishing 2+L fourth (9-2f) to Sir Maximillan over C&D (good) 15 days ago.
No win since May 2018, and yet to score beyond 6f; her Haydock third (7f, soft) to Young Fire has been boosted since by Alemaratalyoum (fourth); slowly away when behind (sixth) Arcanada and Penwortham over C&D since.
Useful juvenile for Richard Hannon; hasn't won since landing the Goffs Premier Yearling Stakes at York (6f, good to soft) in August 2017; 0-2 for Karen and Gemma Tutty; gradually easing in the weights.
Chester regular, won well over C&D in June (beat Candelisa by ¾L); has more recent course form lines with the likes of Humble Gratitude and Arcanada; one of three declared runners for Richard Fahey (stablemates more obvious candidates).
Returned to winning ways when springing an 18-1 surprise at Beverley (7½f, good) in August; runner-up from this mark (3lb higher) here (7½f) since - Confrontational third; wide draw a negative; one of three declared runners for Tom Dascombe.
Dual course winner (5f-7½f); below-par in five visits to the Roodeye in 2019 and has work to do with the likes of Humble Gratitude, Arcanada and Penwortham accordingly; by far the least obvious of the Tom Dascombe-trained trio.
Former Irish racer; back in trip (to 7½f) when finishing third to Parys Mountain (Calder Prince second) here 15 days ago; is well drawn in stall 2, but potentially of more interest for the impending winter AW season (3-14 on synthetics).
A grand servant (13-62 career); won this race in 2017 (heavy); notched a second win on the Roodeye in 2019 when making all (clung on bravely) to beat stablemate Gabrial The Devil by a short-head latest; 2lb higher (1lb worse off); perfect draw.
French winner (1m, good to soft); 0-5 since joining the Middleham handler Micky Hammond, easing 10lb in the process; gelded since finishing fourth of eight (beaten 4½L) to Redarna at Ascot in July (7f, good to soft); market helpful.
Useful sprinter in his prime; has knocked firmly at the door of late finishing runner-up in each of his last three starts, including when beaten a head by Round The Island at Pontefract (6f, good to firm) nine days ago; 2lb higher.

Forecasts
Gabrial The Tiger (9/2), Confrontational (11/2), Arcanada (11/2), Rum Runner (13/2), Humble Gratitude (13/2), Gabrial The Devil (7/1), Whitefountainfairy (8/1), Frankelio (10/1), Tangled (10/1), Penwortham (11/1), Dragons Tail (14/1), Candelisa (14/1), Calder Prince (20/1), Atletico (25/1)
A typical Saturday Chester handicap with a plethora of interwoven, complex form lines. Both Tom Dascombe and Richard Fahey saddle a trio each, with Arcanada the pick of the Dascombe-trained runners (the back to form Calder Prince hindered by a wide draw). The Fahey trio are all Chester regulars (and winners), with the perfectly drawn front-runner Gabrial The Tiger (won this race in 2017) clinging on bravely from his stablemate GABRIAL THE DEVIL over 6f here a fortnight ago. With a 1lb turnaround in the weights (for a short-head) and granted the in-running breaks, the Paul Hanagan-ridden four-year-old is fancied to reverse those placings today.
- Gabrial The Devil
- Rum Runner
- Arcanada
