Both Tom Dascombe and Richard Fahey saddle a trio each, with Arcanada the pick of the Dascombe-trained runners (the back to form Calder Prince hindered by a wide draw). The Fahey trio are all Chester regulars (and winners), with the perfectly drawn front-runner Gabrial The Tiger (won this race in 2017) clinging on bravely from his stablemate GABRIAL THE DEVIL over 6f here a fortnight ago. With a 1lb turnaround in the weights (for a short-head) and granted the in-running breaks, the Paul Hanagan-ridden four-year-old is fancied to reverse those placings today.
