Had shown little in the point-to-point sphere but put up a mighty performance to win on debut at Wexford (2m4f) as the rank outsider. Changed yards since and will need to prove that wasn't a fluke.

Had been knocking on the door, including over C&D, before gaining deserved success in 2m Worcester novice hurdle earlier this month. Back up to a trip she hasn't won over but merits respect.

Seven-race maiden. Hasn't looked like troubling the judge and finished 44L 11th in 2m4f maiden hurdle at Listowel when last seen. Needs to find plenty to have a chance in this.
Point-to-point winner in that sphere but was no match for Carrie Des Champs on rules debut at this track when distant second. That rival could have the measure of her once again.

Makes rules debut having won only point-to-point in 2m4f open maiden back in March. That looked a weak contest on paper but market should guide.
Fell on each starts in the point-to-point sphere but hit the frame in two rules starts, including second in 2m bumper at Musselburgh in March. Considered but jumping is an obvious worry though.
Failed to land a telling blow in three bumpers to date, including 25L fifth at this track (2m) in July. Makes limited appeal on hurdles bow.

Forecasts

Queen's Magic (10/11), Carrie Des Champs (1/1), Methodtothemadness (10/3), Creadan Belle (11/2), Maid O'Malley (10/1), Fyfin Patsy (20/1), Buttevant Lady (22/1), Tannadice Park (80/1)

Verdict

CARRIE DES CHAMPS has a welter weight burden in this contest, but the manner of her victories so far this season, including at this track last time, suggest she is a classy prospect for a yard who typically do well here and should have the measure over her inferior rivals. Queen's Magic looks set to be her nearest rival and her recent change in luck could change her fortunes once again, while Buttevant Lady showed enough in her shock win on debut to suggest that it wasn't a fluke.
  1. Carrie Des Champs
  2. Queen's Magic
  3. Buttevant Lady
