Got his season off to a flying start at Doncaster (1m2f) in March, and good fifth to prolific King's Advice after at Thirsk. Again close there this month over 1m4f and contender.

Dual C&D winner, tends to run well around here and may be forgiven lesser showing last month given it came on heavy going. Capable of bouncing back.

Adores Hamilton Park and continues to threaten to exploit a falling handicap mark; just held when beaten a nose by Donnachies Girl over C&D (heavy) here last month; rates as a major player despite better ground.

C&D winner last month on heavy going (with a few of these behind). Acts on any ground and has generally been running well this season. Should go well despite being 2lb wrong on today's terms.

Forecasts

Black Kalanisi (5/2), Multellie (4/1), Carbon Dating (11/2), Donnachies Girl (13/2), Stonific (7/1), Corton Lad (12/1), Capton (12/1), River Icon (20/1), Maulesden May (25/1)

Verdict

BLACK KALANISI is improving recently on the Flat and Joseph Tuite's runner was a good second at York last month; a race from which the winner and sixth have since scored. The selection is up 3lb here but retains the scope for further progress in this sphere. Despite being 2lb out of the weights, last month's C&D winner Donnachies Girl is again likely to be on the premises along with Carbon Dating – just a nose behind her last time.
