Winner at Thirsk in July, ending a losing sequence of 28. Held a week later at Doncaster but dangerous to discount chance now dropping in class.
Winner on seasonal bow at Thirsk in April over this trip, hasn't really threatened since but another to be dropped in class here and could get involved.
Did well to finish second at Carlisle over this trip 12 days, having got off to a slow start. Can have a say here if breaking more alertly.
Dual C&D winner has slipped markedly in the weights this year (well below his last winning mark). Produced his best effort of the season last time in a Thirsk selling handicap; not sure to be in same form (Engaged here on Sunday).
Just held when beaten a head by Somewhere Secret in similar conditions at Haydock (6f, heavy) in June; nowhere near as productive since (mainly over further); place prospects if bouncing back to form.
Is now on a winnable mark but recent efforts must be improved upon if she is going to take advantage of it.
Poor strike-rate (1-31) and recent Catterick run was a step in the wrong direction. Probably playing for places if bouncing back to form.
Narrow winner of an amateur riders race at Carlisle on penultimate run (first win for this trainer) but not as good as good back there since.
Got back to winning ways when landing 12-runner handicap at Catterick (6f, good to firm) 13 days ago. Not renowned for consistency but will handle this ground and player if in same form.
Career record on turf reads 2-33, not in form in recent starts at Doncaster and Carlisle (50-1 chance both times) and hard to make case for here.
Winner of a C&D claimer in 2016, has also picked up a win in both years since but out of form recently. Drops back in trip and blinkers back on, could go well if finding his form.

Forecasts
Avenue Of Stars (3/1), I Know How (7/2), Guardia Svizzera (5/1), Shortbackandsides (6/1), Kodicat (15/2), Lucky Beggar (15/2), Forever A Lady (11/1), Carlovian (12/1), Fumbo Jumbo (14/1), Naples Bay (18/1), Gilmer (22/1), Newstead Abbey (40/1)
A few of these arrive here in good heart. I Know How scored at Carlisle last time and is considered again despite being 5lb higher but AVENUE OF STARS might well have scored last time at that same venue bar a slow start. Karen Mclintock's charge runs from the same mark in this lower grade and can take advantage. Fumbo Jumbo and Carlovian are others with claims.
