Made all, running her rivals ragged when beating the subsequent Stratford winner Teqany by 1½L at Newton Abbot (2m2½f, good) in July; kept ticking over on the Flat since - third at Newmarket (1m4f); strong chance despite a career high mark (132).
Largely consistent throughout the duration of 2019, if enduring a somewhat frustrating spell of placed efforts; same mark as when finishing third (awarded second) to the disqualified Definitelyanoscar at Newton Abbot (2m1f, good to soft) in August.
Broke his duck over hurdles at the third attempt when winning a C&D maiden (good) by 6L in May; no match for a Paul Nicholls-trained hot-pot at Fontwell next time; makes his handicap debut with a recent Flat pipe-opener under his belt.
Stayed on well when beaten ¾L by Phoenix Dawn in this contest in 2018, before winning what was effectively a match over C&D next time; campaigned exclusively on the Flat since last November, but heads back hurdling now in an added visor.
Hasn't seen a great deal of hurdles action in more recent times, yet was an emphatic C&D mares' novices' winner (heavy) in February 2018; back in excellent shape on the Flat over the past month or so - a Class 5 & 6 winner at Windsor and Leicester.
First season hurdler, and an all out winner at Stratford (2m½f, good) in July; twice placed since, yet possibly wasn't the most resolute in the finish at Cartmel latest; faces a fairly tough task here against his elders.
Forecasts
Cubswin (11/4), Jumping Jack (7/2), Romanor (4/1), Zamperini (5/1), Harmonise (6/1), What Will Be (7/1)
Harmonise hasn't seen a great deal of hurdles action over the course of the past 18 months or so, but this C&D winner reappears over obstacles in the midst of a productive spell of Flat form, and therefore merits a degree of respect. Similar comments apply to the newly visored Jumping Jack who evidently appreciates a sound surface and finished a keeping on second to Phoenix Dawn in this contest in 2018. However, the very likeable and incredibly tough mare CUBSWIN can hopefully scale new heights over hurdles under Bryony Frost, defying a 4lb rise in the weights for her July win at Newton Abbot (form franked by the runner-up since).
- Cubswin
- Harmonise
- Zamperini
