In good form throughout the year; gained her third victory at Ripon in August over today's trip, staying better than her pedigree suggests. Well found in the market last time she ran below-par (did a little too much); needs to prove herself again.
Possible that her form has plateaued now after scoring her third win of the year at Chepstow in July (7f, good/firm). Beaten twice since (once when favourite); good 7lb claimer on board (has twice won for claiming riders this year); more needed.
Course winner on her penultimate start (1m1f, heavy) when gaining recognition for some good previous efforts on the Flat and over hurdles. Finished held off this mark last time (possible it's beyond her); wouldn't want the ground to dry out any furth
Yet to score this term and looks to lack the tactical pace to win at this trip unless there's a strong gallop. Well below form on her last two starts the handicapper has relented (career-low mark here); 0-8 in handicaps her chance is a moderate one.
Had looked to be on an upward curve upon her switch to handicaps taking a 7f event at Musselburgh early last month off a 3lb lower mark. Failed to build on that win in her next three starts (all back at same track); doubts remain over this trip.
In sparkling form since returning from a break completing a hat-trick at Carlisle over 1m1f adding to an early-season win. Ground versatile, a line can be struck through her latest start (hopeless task from track position); leading contender.
Consistency is hard to fault but only has one 1m AW win to show for her efforts so far this season although she's below that mark here. Returned to something like her best last time (second run for this yard); just outbattled, sure to be there again.
Yet to win this season but has on occasions run well both her runner-up slots bearing the closest examination having edged back down to her last winning mark. Performed well over C&D on two occasions this year; not out of what is an open race.
Of little account and with a career record that reads 0-30 on the Flat hardly one to be enthusiastic about especially from 11lb wrong in the weights. Would be a major surprise to see her lose that maiden tag in this competitive handicap.
Forecasts
Sarvi (11/4), Caustic Love (9/2), Kermouster (5/1), Lady Alavesa (13/2), Dream World (8/1), Welcoming (9/1), Gometra Ginty (9/1), Iconic Code (12/1), Just Heather (80/1)
Some of these have had reasonable seasons not least KERMOUSTER whose bid for a four-timer at Musselburgh was derailed by a slow start and a hopeless subsequent track position she should find conditions much more to her liking here in a bid to get back on the winning trail and she’s still fairly handicapped. Keith Dalgleish sets a poser running three from his yard and it may well be that Iconic Code is the best of them with her form over C&D earlier in the year indicating that she likes this track. Lady Alavesa is consistent and can be given a chance of hitting the frame with Welcoming and Caustic Love two others to consider although both that pair have a little to find.
- Kermouster
- Iconic Code
- Lady Alavesa
