In and out this year, but won over 1m2f at Leopardstown in June, and placed off 1lb higher at Navan in July. Ran well last time out at the Curragh and rates a danger to all based on that form and being a course and distance winner.
Not disgraced when stepping up to 2m2f last time at DownRoyal but is a better betting proposition back to 1m4f here; has raced well on this surface in the past and no reason why he can't do so again.
Maiden winner over an extended 1m4f at Ballinrobe last month but well held in a 1m6f handicap at Galway subsequently. Disappointed over hurdles last time out; not totally out of it but others preferred.
Well held since winning over this trip at Roscommon in July; is nearly down to that winning handicap mark so has chances if bouncing back from recent efforts.
Still paying the price handicap-wise for Thurles demolition job last autumn but showed new mark not beyond him when third at Musselburgh latest. Handicap restrictive but place possibilities quite high.
Has only run once in the last year and has had two recent stable changes; Has finished last on his two latest starts but would rate a danger to all of these on the best of his form from early 2018; worth closer inspection.
Well beaten on latest racecourse appearance at Ballinrobe in June having previously run well at Wolverhampton; excellent chance on best of his form but long absence slightly concerning.
Dundalk regular who returns to the AW after an unsuccessful spell over hurdles; certainly loves this track and this distance is ideal these days; races off a reasonable mark; fair chance.
Has been struggling somewhat on turf but returns to his favourite surface here; stepping up to this distance for the first time is a slight concern but any market moves would suggest connections feel it will be no problem.
Has barely beaten a horse home in 2019; was in good form this time last season winning races at Naas and Down Royal but hardly one to back with confidence in current form.
Still looking for his first win from eight starts on the Flat; not without ability and falling down the weights but hard to make a favourable case for.
Has struggled of late both on the Flat and over hurdles; hard to recommend off current mark despite being a course and distance winner.
Much better over hurdles these days and is 0/13 at this track; hard to seem him getting involved.
Forecasts
Nimitz (3/1), Lusis Naturea (4/1), Forest View (11/2), Gougane Barra (6/1), Cacique Royale (10/1), Casima (10/1), Itsalonglongroad (14/1), Acclamatio (14/1), Time For Mabel (16/1), Trump Card (16/1), Carried (25/1), California Lad (50/1), Lopito (50/1)
A difficult race to assess but slight preference is given to the topweight NIMITZ who comes into the race in fair form having finished fourth at the Curragh last time out despite being slowly away and meeting trouble in running. He also a fair performer at this track. Carried looks to be on a reasonable mark at present and loves it round here while Lusis Naturea drops back to a more suitable trip and can race on a surface that has brought him success in the past.
- Nimitz
- Lusis Naturea
- Carried
