Beaten out of sight on debut at Southwell but produced an improved performance when fifth of 10 at Wetherby in May and returned with a promising effort at Redcar last time out when third of 11. May do better up in trip on handicap debut here.
Surprise 25/1 winner on debut at Redcar as a juvenile but hasn't added to that success. Better effort in a selling race at Ripon last time but needs to build on that now; drop in trip could suit.
Yet to get off the mark but finished runner-up to a promising sort who runs in the 4.55 and that form has worked out well with the third and fourth winning since. All best form has come with soft in the going but interesting nonetheless.
Won back-to-back this summer and gave the impression this sort of mark is within grasp when only beaten a nose at Kempton last time. Took a false step in the closing stages that day and front two pulled clear; interesting if building on that.
A maiden after eight starts and while she placed on a couple of AW starts as a juvenile, she's yet to find any improvement for the switch to this yard and turf racing. Best efforts have come at 7f.
Still a maiden after 10 starts and while he's shown ability over this sort of trip, he generally struggles to follow a good run with another; looks vulnerable.
Won a novice event at Thirsk on her second career start and well beaten in all starts this year, though best effort came at this venue, albeit over 6f. Bred for sprints and step up in trip far from certain to suit. Wears first-time hood.
Showed a bit of form on AW for Gordon Elliot but remains a maiden and he's been disappointing on turf in five 2019 starts. Minor promise in first-time cheekpieces (retained) at Musselburgh last time but hard to fancy on balance.
Won a claiming race for Richard Fahey but shown nothing in four starts for this yard and makes very little appeal as a betting prospect here.
Beaten out of sight on each of his four starts including handicap debut last time out at Wetherby. Wide draw far from ideal and hard to recommend here.
Yet to win in 10 starts and while he ran with some promise earlier in the campaign from higher handicap marks, he makes little appeal having been well beaten on all recent outings. 1lb out of the handicap.
16 starts without a win but has found some form since joining this yard. Only fourth when sent off 9/4fav for a 5f handicap at Newcastle last time but he's effective over this trip and not one to rule out, despite racing from 2lb out of the weights.

Power Player (5/1), Be Proud (5/1), Mitigator (6/1), Mac Ailey (7/1), Smeaton (7/1), Grazeon Roy (15/2), Ride The Monkey (10/1), Vivacious Spirit (12/1), Spencers Son (14/1), Evolutionary (18/1), George Ridsdale (22/1), Archies Lad (28/1), Beechwood Izzy (28/1)
A competitive finale to day two of the meeting but it might be worth taking a chance on GRAZEON ROY who gives the impression this step up in trip will unlock improvement. Ride The Monkey returned to form at Ripon last time but Mitigator could be the main danger having looked very unlucky not to win at Kempton last week.
- Grazeon Roy
- Mitigator
- Ride The Monkey
