Consistent performer up 3lb for his win on his first try over this trip at Newmarket when racing right up to her best. Stayed on really strongly and she has more to offer at this distance. Likely leading challenger.

Novice winner over 1m4f yet to win in four handicap starts but a good latest second over this distance at Goodwood. Remains a consistent type without really improving and holds place chances.

Won off 6lb lower and in a grade lower over this trip at Newbury two starts back and followed up with a career-best second when just failing to get up at Goodwood.. A repeat should see her go close again.

Gained a second handicap win when winning on good to soft over 1m5f at Bath latest. Up 3lb and in grade and while she can't be dismissed, the drying ground may be against her.

Lightly raced and bounce back from a rare poor effort when a close fifth over a mile at Sandown. Steps up in trip into unchartered territory and she hasn't previously indicated she needs this far.

Won this race last year off 5lb lower and first win since came again over this C&D last month. Proving to be a reliable performer and unlikely to be far away once again in suitable conditions.

Steady improvement in two albeit well held starts this year since sole 2018 run for Luca Cumani. Gets a workable opening mark on handicap debut for powerful connections and a likely improver.

Forecast

Oh It's Saucepot (15/8), Honfleur (5/1), Baba Ghanouj (5/1), Quicksand (5/1), Lightening Dance (7/1), Potters Lady Jane (7/1), Miss Latin (20/1)

Verdict

Potter Lady Jane won over this C&D last time and in that form she has every chance of adding to last year's success in this contest. She's consistent as is OH IT'S SAUCEPOT who hit the line strongly when winning last time over this distance, at which she has more improvement to come. Lightening Dance is also in career-best form and a danger while Honfleur should be noted in the betting market on handicap debut.
  1. Oh It's Saucepot
  2. Potters Lady Jane
  3. Lightening Dance
