Went close over C&D last month and then grabbed a selling handicap here earlier this month. Gets on well with this rider and should be competitive again from revised mark.

Dual C&D winner last year and now back within 1lb of more recent winning mark. Not exactly threatening in runs this year but might do better now under Adam Kirby.

Bits of promise in three novice runs so far, runs beyond a mile now for the first time going handicapping. Betting should provide plenty clues as to what is expected.

Lingfield winner in June over a mile off a mark of 52, held both runs since and now goes beyond the mile for the first time.

10-race maiden, found only an in-form rival too strong over C&D last month, beaten 4L in second spot. First-time cheekpieces sported that day are retained and worth considering on back of that improved showing.

All four career wins have come on turf, yet to make the frame in nine starts on AW surfaces but did shape well over C&D last month and now 4lb lower with in-form Megan Nicholls on board.

14-race maiden, has shaped well over this trip in two visits earlier this year and returns from a reduced mark with claims if repeating that form.

Runner-up over a mile at Lingfield last month before finishing 4L eighth of 14 at the same venue over this trip. Sole win over 7f in January, still has something to prove at this distance.

C&D winner off this mark last October but operating at a lower level of form since. Better when third at Lingfield last time but this is tougher.

Poor strike-rate on AW of 1-22, win coming over C&D in 2017 from a mark 11lb higher than his current perch. Went close over C&D in May off a break but form since is poor and needs big bounce-back.

Seven-race maiden, yet to go off shorter than 33-1 and has beaten very little home so far. Easier to look elsewhere once more.

Archipenko filly, not making any progress and has failed to hit the frame in a dozen starts. Others readily preferred in this line-up.

Verdict

Fair Power and Oisin Murphy are respected having landed a C&D selling handicap 15 days, backing up another good effort here. The gelding remains on a good mark based on his old form and cannot be underestimated. For a bit of value, it might be worth siding with PICTURE POET, runner up over C&D in May behind an easy winner and tried over different trips in both runs since. He's back from a short break now and could go well. Reddiac and dual C&D winner Hard Toffee also go on the shortlist.
  1. Picture Poet
