Yard 0-49 with bumper newcomers; by Scorpion out of a Selkirk mare who was a winner on the Flat at 1m4f and 1m6f (AW) and a 2m hurdles winner. Stable 1-22 in bumpers last five seasons; best watched unless there are very positive vibes in the market.
By Fame And Glory she's bred to need time and distance, always well behind on Irish bumper debut at Punchestown. Showed much improved form at Killarney when last seen, now makes stable/GB debut; yard 6-60 in bumpers last five seasons.

£40,000 purchase after finishing runner-up (beaten 6L) on her only Irish point-to-point start when 2-1 favourite (form not overly strong). In good hands for her Rules debut; yard 7-26 with bumper newcomers since 2015; market strength a good guide.

Yard 0-24 in bumpers last five seasons and judged on the form of this daughter of Fair Mix that record won't be improving here. May well have needed the run when last seen at Hexham (finished well held, beaten 38L); would be a surprise winner.
Nicely-bred sort (has some smart relations) who showed ability on her debut and made a deeper impression when next seen after a six month break at Worcester. Conceded first run last time, form franked already, yard 3-11 in bumpers this season.

Showed some minor promise when sixth here in a similar event earlier in the year, weakening from around 2f out. Needs to show more to be of interest; yard 0-15 in bumpers last five seasons; one of the lesser lights.

Forecasts

Elle Est Grande (13/8), Notawordofalie (5/2), Cast In Grey (10/3), Bowderek (15/2), Whoa Black Betty (28/1), Fair Lady (40/1)

Verdict

There has been plenty to like about the two efforts so far of Notawordofalie with her Worcester form last time already being given a boost by the win of the fifth home that day. It would also give a yard who are always to be respected in this discipline compensation for an unlucky bumper loser at Worcester on Monday. However she faces two decent rivals with Cast In Grey an interesting recruit having shown improved form in Ireland before joining her current yard for whom she makes her debut today. ELLE EST GRANDE now makes her Rules debut having cost £40,000 for a yard that do well in this sphere especially with their newcomers, market support would be a bonus.
  1. Elle Est Grande
  2. Notawordofalie
  3. Cast In Grey
