Both of his starts so far have come on the AW earlier this year. He was second of seven last time at Newcastle (6f) where he was just ½L behind the winner after going off at 100/1. Set for opening start on turf here. Big player.

Was fancied to go well on his debut at Newcastle (5f) on the AW but only had one runner behind him in an eight runner field when going off as the 5/4 favourite. Did not settle very well on his opening start. Improved performance can be expected.

Has had five attempts to get off the mark now. He was second of seven on his penultimate start at Leicester (7f), while last time, he finished fourth of seven at Ffos Las (7½f) after going off as the evens favourite. One to consider.

Made a modest start to her career when she was sixth of 12 over this C&D on her debut. Took a step backwards last time though when she was last of five runners at Yarmouth (6f). Needs to bounce back.

Forecasts

Desert Land (8/11), Call Me Ginger (2/1), Critical Voltage (5/1), Danzena (20/1), Look Who It Isnae (66/1)

Verdict

CALL ME GINGER has the best piece of form of any of these runners as he was second last time out, beaten by just ½L. He can improve on that performance here on his first appearance on turf which should be enough to land the contest. Desert Land is the mot experienced horse in the race and he has shown enough to suggest he will be in the mix in this race, while Critical Voltage should be much better now he has had a run under his belt so expect him to be in contention in the closing stages.
  1. Call Me Ginger
  2. Desert Land
  3. Critical Voltage
