Has improved for switch to nurseries, following a close second at Kempton with a creditable third of 11 to Two Hearts in similar event at Wolverhampton, albeit looking awkward (hung left). Cheekpieces tried now.
Some promise without pulling any trees in qualifying, but proved a disappointment when only 7¼L ninth of 15 to War of Clans on nursery bow at Ripon (6f). Can do better, but does need to.
Career-best effort when 3L third of five in a 6f conditions race at Ripon (soft) last month. Handicapper has taken quite a lenient view of that form, and he looks well treated now tackling nurseries.
Much his best effort when fifth of 7 over 7f at York in July, but again ran moderately despite leading here last time, and opening mark looks stiff on balance.
Well beaten in all three qualifying runs, his best effort seeing him finish tenth of 15 at Doncaster in July. May do better with cheekpieces applied, but not much to make him of interest in form terms.
Matched the pick of his form when third in a 5f Wolverhampton nursery last month, but failed to last home over 6f there last time when well beaten. Questions to answer back on turf.
Third in a Catterick maiden in July, but has run two shockers since, and hard to fancy after being beaten a long way in selling company last time.
Has regressed since a promising enough debut here in May, and failed to beat a rival on nursery debut at Wolverhampton late last month. Makes limited appeal now.
Came closest when runner-up in a weak seller at Catterick on her penultimate start, but left Tom Dascombe subsequently, and had no excuses when unplaced in a 7½f Beverley nursery last time.
Has shown very little in four runs to date, including nursery debut at Pontefract last time. Yard does well when utilising blinkers, but asking a lot for headgear to transform this poor performer.
Looks very limited on evidencve of four runs to date, failing to show any more on nursery bow at Musselburgh last time. Now tried in a visor, and headgear needs to make a big difference.
Forecasts
Idoapologise (5/2), Wots The Wifi Code (10/3), Rebel Redemption (15/2), Red Jasper (15/2), Ma Boy Harris (10/1), Secret Identity (10/1), It's Not My Fault (11/1), Baileys Prayer (16/1), Royal Lightning (33/1), Bosun's Chair (40/1), Schumli (50/1)
Even if WOTS THE WIFI CODE is a little flattered by finishing close up in the Ripon Hornblower last time, he still looks on a very fair mark for this nursery debut, especially as not many here have particularly positive profiles. Secret Identity is probably better than he showed at the same track on nursery debut, and isn't ruled out, while Red Jasper has a couple of good placed efforts to his name, for all the handicapper has taken action subsequently.
- Wots The Wifi Code
- Secret Identity
- Red Jasper
