Son of Camelot gelded ahead of debut.; cost 11,000 gns as a yearling; a second foal and a half brother to Italian winner Agramante. Best watched on debut.
New Approach colt, cost €40,000 as a foal and 38,000gns as a yearling. Improved effort on second start with promise of more to come over a furlong further. Rates up towards some of the better form in the race.

Son of Mukhadram gelded ahead of debut; cost 10,000 gns as a yearling and a fourth foal to an unraced dam. Doesn't catch the eye on paper.

Split a couple of useful Godolphin runners on his debut at Newmarket which alone sets a very high standard. Couldn't settle off a slow pace at Kempton but still ran close enough. Extra furlong should suit and the one to beat.

Kodiac colt ran well for a long way before weakening late on debut over 7f at Newmarket. Form is solid, should improve for the outing and bred to appreciate the extra test of stamina. Likely to be competitive.

Son of Mastercraftsmen and a sixth foal to a 1m4f winner; a brother to Restorer and a half-brother to Moonlight Silver. Likely to need further than this on debut and others preferred.

War Command colt and an 8th foal who is a half brother to five winners. Stable not noted for juvenile winners and easy to look elsewhere on debut.

9/2
Stepped up markedly on debut effort when finishing a good third over 7f at Kempton and raced to a similar standard when a recent fourth over a half furlong further back on turf. Boasts the second best form on offer with the extra trip a plus.
385,000 gns War Front filly, half-sister to juvenile Group 2 winner. Failed to live up to that price tag when supported but always struggling on Newmarket debut. Much more needed.
Night Of Thunder filly (£38,000 yearling), closely related to Japanese 7f 2yo winner Trillionaire. Not fancied when 13L fifth on debut and proved green. Likely improver but others likely still stronger.

Forecasts

Hot Summer (5/6), Protagonist (9/2), Night Colours (7/1), Jellystone (8/1), Fashion Royalty (9/1), Bealach (14/1), Trumpets Call (16/1), Molinari (20/1), Glorious Caesar (33/1), On The Rhine (40/1), Arthalot (50/1), Derek Le Grand (66/1)

Verdict

HOT SUMMER should get a more truly run race here and he comes here boasting a high standard of form. Jellystone needed the run on debut but ran a race full of promise and is likely to only improve over this stiffer test. Protagonist has two more races under his belt but is also open to progress up in trip. Bealach is another likely contender.
