Both efforts have come over 6f here, winning grittily on debut and then showing a sharp turn of foot to beat Precious Moments in the Airlie Stud Stakes in June. Will improve again for this trip, and appears the one to beat.
Full-brother Guaranteed showed smart form as a juvenile last year, but it is asking an awful lot of this filly to be competitive at the highest level on her racecourse bow.
Built on debut win when landing Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, and no shame in being beaten by the exciting Raffle Prize in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket, despite having beaten that rival first time up. Should stay 7f, and shortlisted.
Won a maiden and the G3 Silver Flash Stakes, both over 7f at Leopardstown in July, but only fifth of 9 to Alpine Star in Debutante Stakes over this C&D last time, and needs to put that behind her to throw down a challenge.
Couldn't resist the late thrust of Albigna in the Airlie Stud Stakes here in June, and ran to a similar level when sixth of 10 to Living In The Past in the Lowther Stakes at York last time. Needs to improve with a tongue-tie reached for.
Still a maiden, but seems to be improving a little still, and again ran well when 2½L second of 6 to Cayenne Pepper in the Flame of Tara Stakes over 1m here last time. Minor claims again, and is proving very durable.
Beaten less than 1L on all three starts, and improving all the time. Was in front of So Wonderful, Love and Tango in the Debutante Stakes here last time, and no reason why she won't confirm that form.
Has been found wanting in three starts in Group company, although probably showed improved form when sixth of 9 to Alpine Star in Debutante Stakes here last time. Cheekpieces on now, but surprise if she could make a major impact.
Improved on debut win when landing the G3 Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot, and ran to a similr level when fourth in the Lowther Stakes at York last time. Should be suited by 7f, and may well do better.
Forecasts
Daahyeh (13/8), Albigna (9/4), Love (6/1), Soul Search (9/1), Under The Stars (9/1), Tango (9/1), So Wonderful (16/1), Precious Moments (25/1), Assurance (40/1)
Aidan O'Brien is strong in numbers, but his quartet have already come up short, and Airlie Stud Stakes winner ALBIGNA is expected to improve enough for this longer trip to maintain her unbeaten record. She has most to fear from Albany Stakes winner Daahyeh, representing British formlines, although there is more to come from Soul Search and she looks best of the rest.
- Albigna
- Daahyeh
- Soul Search
