Gained all of his wins on AW and return to the surface latest over 1m at Kempton yielded another win. Rise of 2lb looks quite lenient so has leading claims here to follow up.

Irish raider is a maiden of nine races and has made little impression in two prior handicaps so others appeal more although interesting he's made the journey over.

Handicap debutant showed some promise in three starts to date with a second at Nottingham and fourth at Kempton the most recent. Not obviously well treated for handicap bow.

Off the mark at the 11th time of asking at Epsom latest over this trip so confidence should now be buoyed but little doubt a 4lb rise will make his life a little tougher.

Fourth to Land Of Legends latest in final qualifier very respectable given that horse won next two and the third won next three races. Been gelded in the interim also so lots to like and could be worth chancing at a price.

7L Beverley win in June saw her upped 10lb and duly struggled the next twice. Gets 4lb back here so mark looks more realistic now but others remain preferred.

Still a maiden after seven starts but fourths at Windsor and Leicester over 6f the last twice both suggested that 7f could bring about improvement so is an interesting contender here.

Slow starter often looks unlucky in races but as a maiden of 10 it is perhaps just a case that he gives himself too much to do. Typical fourth latest but he is opposable on balance.

Redcar novice winner wasn't disgraced when fourth of six on handicap debut at Newmarket behind a horse completing a hat-trick of wins. Should still be more to come given this is just her fifth race so not ruled out.

Unplaced in all eight starts but been gelded since disappointing showing here when last seen in July. Can hope for better but only from the sidelines.

7f Leicester winner maybe a non-stayer when fourth over 1m2f at Windsor latest. Had a break coming into this but this looks a taller order than what he's faced in the past.

Ran a little better than the bare form suggested when sixth on handicap debut at Leicester after a slow start but in this tougher race she must break on terms which has been problematic on a few occasions; perhaps a visor can help.

Best two efforts to date her two visits here but was tailed off as if something amiss latest at Yarmouth which probably explains the tongue tie. Others more appealing on balance.

Forecasts

In The Cove (4/1), Mykindofsunshine (4/1), Punjab Mail (7/1), Limit Long (7/1), Run After Genesis (7/1), Al Moataz (8/1), Hunterwali (12/1), Bullington Boy (14/1), Just Later (14/1), Royal Sands (14/1), Sirius Slew (16/1), Fashionesque (20/1), Alabama Dreaming (33/1)

Verdict

A chance is taken on handicap debutant ROYAL SANDS who has been gelded since running fourth at Kempton in a race which could hardly have worked out better in June. Top-weight In The Cove is a formidable opponent on AW and rated the biggest danger although Mykindofsunshine is also respected with this step up to 7f expected to suit.
