Shaped with promise first two runs and then improved for the step up to this trip when getting off the mark over C&D on good to soft ground last month. Runner up has won since and opening mark looks fair.

Creditable second of five on nursery debut at Goodwood last month in first time cheek pieces. Dispensed with here and may have more to come from same mark.

Similar level of form to date over various trips and not really progressing but has been gelded since last seen and now tries blinkers for the first time so they may have a positive effect.

Showed a little progress with each start and holds Qaaddim on latest run at Newmarket (first for this trainer) from which winners have come. Nursery debut now.

Landed the odds in a weak maiden at Epsom last month but disappointing when well beaten sixth at Carlisle on Wednesday and something to prove if turning out quickly again.

Showed good attitude to make virtually all over 6f at Lingfield last time. Now has to prove himself over extra furlong but wasn't stopping then and should have more to come.

Similar level of form in three runs to date. Went from the front when third in Newmarket maiden last time but a touch keen and ultimately soundly beaten. Progress needed for this handicap debut.

Stand out effort was when beating a progressive sort at Kempton on penultimate start and beat just one home off this 7lb higher mark at Windsor since. Needs to prove she is as good on turf as AW.

Not knocked about in trio of 6f maidens and now enters handicapping on a fair mark stepping up in trip. Should be more to come and worth keeping an eye on in market.

Forecast

Qaaddim (3/1), Elegant Erin (4/1), Masaakin (4/1), Nat Love (9/2), Mellad (11/1), Boasty (14/1), Goodwood Rebel (14/1), Royal Ambition (20/1), Lethal Talent (20/1), King's View (33/1)

Verdict

Richard Hannon saddles three and ELEGANT ERIN may prove the pick if the quicker surface doesn't pose a problem. King's View took a step forward when runner up at Brighton last week and could provide a 1-2 for the trainer with Boasty of interest on handicap debut and certainly worth noting for any market confidence.
  1. Elegant Erin
  2. King's View
  3. Boasty
