Dual course winner (including over C&D); put a nursery blemish behind her when finishing second back here over second last time. Paid for getting hooked-up in a speed duel; possibilities if gaining an easier lead from a good draw in stall 3.

Grabs the plum draw on the softest ground that he's faced (makes nursery debut) having won at Newmarket (6f, good/firm) last time. Needs to show he has the pace to take advantage of draw; looks a likely sort, should be suited by first attempt at 7f.

Steady improver, ran his best race last time out (second to Cognac, run in 1.50) showing his liking for his first try at 7f. Still looked as though he was a work-in-progress at Musselburgh, wide draw tempers enthusiasm a little, first-time visor.

Debut 5f winner back in April prior to running a good second here in the Lilly Agnes (5f). Highly-tried after that and beaten in two handicaps so far, the latest at York (6f, good/firm); still looks a little exposed off this mark, over 7f first-time.

Easy enough to strike a line through his last start (ridden too aggressively) at Carlisle over 7f (nursery debut); dropped 1lb. Winner of a weaker race than that he tried in last time at Catterick (7f) prior to that; others do more to persuade.

Unsurprisingly for one in these silks isn't short of form around here (745) although her best form has come away from these environs. Ran with credit at Redcar (7f, good/firm) last time, looks to need a greater test than is provided here.

Won an early season nursery (improved form) at Pontefract in July (6f, good); hit the frame next two starts off higher marks. Found his good run of form coming to an end last time (7f); decent draw, blinkers now reached for to get back on track.

Consistent sort who has given indications that he cane win a race of this nature (0-3 in handicaps so far). Harshly raised 6lb for his last runner-up slot over 7f, this looks stronger company, wide draw hardly helps his cause either, more needed.

Back to form with a third in a Carlisle nursery (7f, good) with We Owen A Dragon in second; yet to win a race though (0-7). Beaten off similar marks in nurseries before, look to be some more progressive sorts in this, draw hardly helps his cause.

Showed little for John Quinn (beaten in sellers); his second in a Catterick (6f, soft) nursery stands out like a beacon in his overall form (second start for this yard). Unable to match that form last time (dismal run ay Hamilton); limited appeal.

Verdict

The draw generally plays a part around here and that gives one of the leading players in Embolden a tricky task with his form easily being good enough to play a leading role (form could be further boosted by Cognac in the 1.50). He may be able to make an impact but he’ll do well to win from his probable track position with KNOW YOUR LIMITS being the one to benefit from the draw and her experience around here provided she doesn’t get involved in another speed duel. Powertrain has to be respected on his nursery debut from a good inside pitch while last year’s winning trainer Ivan Furtado fields Ambyfaeirvine who needs to bounce back from a poor effort but is already a nursery winner.
