Full-brother to useful hurdler/chaser Champagne At Tara and half-brother to bumper winner/fair hurdler Champagne Chaser. Winner on debut at the Galway festival in a 2m2f bumper. One to consider on hurdling debut.
Placed in a couple of bumpers but well held on hurdling debut before failing to complete any of his last three starts over timber on his final starts for trainer J J Hanlon. Best watched on stable debut unless market has other ideas.

Bumper winner, ran well in defeat on hurdling debut in a Tramore maiden last month over 2m5f, finishing third of 12 beaten 1½L. Steps back in trip but capable of grabbing a place.

Switches to hurdles on return to action following a couple of chase starts since January. First run for stable with a 83% win and place strike rate with their maiden hurdlers at this festival. Won with Anything Will Do (Tuesday)
Plenty to like about a much improved effort at Cork last month following a number of insipid efforts over hurdles since March. Market likely to be the best guide.

Won on his third bumper start when last seen in December winning a Leopardstown contest over 2m. Interesting hurdling debutante and market should reveal full expectations.

Not disgraced but generally well held in a number of hurdle starts since September. Likely to find one or two better handicapped sorts lurking.

Gelding by Mahler out of a Phardante mare. Well down the field in a couple of career hurdling starts so far and others look to have stronger claims.
9

66/1
Second of 11 beaten 1¾L at Kilbeggan last month may prove to be a career best effort for some time on the balance of previous dour performances since March. Makes little appeal in this company.

Nothing of note in four career hurdle starts to date. First time blinkers unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.

10/1
Has failed to build on a win at Naas in December when landing a 2m bumper in a couple of subsequent below-par efforts on the level. Best watched on hurdling debut unless market vibes suggest otherwise.

Rebel Ogh31
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: Paul Townend| T: W P Mullins| BF
9/2
Sent off the 8/13f on hurdling debut at Downpatrick last month before fishing third of nine beaten 1L on good to yielding ground over 2m3f. Likely to put the record straight in this contest.

Forecasts

Benruben (7/4), Exit Poll (11/4), Rebel Og (9/2), All Those Years (11/2), Jeremys Flame (10/1), Ballymacaw (14/1), Randalls Ur Poet (20/1), Da Vinci Rock (25/1), Shannon Tide (50/1), Toms Courage (66/1), Another Cyclone (66/1), Aspire To Fly (100/1)

Verdict

The Willie Mullins-trained REBEL OG possibly found herself out in front too early at Downpatrick last month when fading close home to finish third of nine. The daughter of Presenting will come on for the experience to land the spoils with the Joseph O'Brien-trained, Benruben, Leopardstown bumper winner on St Stephens day, Exit Poll and All Those Years for owner J P McManus, likely to make life difficult for the lightly-raced six-year-old.
