Landed a second career win when winning a 7f handicap on yielding ground at the Galway festival last month off an 8lb lower mark. Another bold show looks likely.

Winner of two of his 11 starts but the colt has produced a mixed bag in three starts since March and needs to show a little more consistency before any faith is shown.

Sole win in 11 starts on the Flat came at the Galway festival two years ago. Running well in defeat on two occasions at this years Ballybrit gathering but that may not be enough here.

French import, made winning start for this yard by landing a handicap at Cork over 7f on good ground at 25-1 recently. Rates a leading contender despite a 9lb higher mark.

Won a Roscommon maiden last month over 7½f on soft ground before adding a second win at this meeting on Monday landing a 1m handicap by 7L. Life more difficult under a penalty but very much merits respect again.

Winner on his sole visit to this venue over C&D in a maiden contest 12 months ago. Mixed messages in three starts this term but a return to form would not surprise.

Now racing 7lb below last winning mark, the Lope De Vega entire has been running with credit over the summer without getting his head in front. Bit more needed but folly to rule out.

Form has quickly and alarmingly tailed off somewhat since dropping 16lb in the handicap following a 9lb rise for a win at Navan in April 2018. Needs to improve on recent starts to take a hand here.

Coming back to form of late for the three-time winner, in a couple of starts at the Galway festival and more recently at the Curragh. Capable of another bold bid.

Encouraging efforts in a couple of starts last month over six and seven furlong at Gowran Park and the Curragh. Not a forlorn hope but others still more convincing.

Solid and consistent performer over the summer running well between 7f and 1m including a win in a Roscommon handicap on soft ground last month. One to consider on the balance of recent efforts.

One from seven on the Flat, the Dragon Pulse gelding finished third of 13 beaten 1¼L over C&D in June off a 3lb higher mark. Repeat of that effort will have him in the hunt for more prize money.

Verdict

The tough and genuine filly, ANGEL'S AMY can land a hat-trick of wins for her connections following wins at Roscommon last month and here at this venue on Monday over 1m. The quick returner can defy the 6lb penalty at the expense of intriguing French import, Bopedro, winner on stable debut at Cork last month and the gutsy, Thiswaycadeaux who bagged a fifth career win at Roscommon last month. Top weight Laughifuwant and C&D winner, Shatharaat can go well at bigger prices.
