Caused a minor upset when winning on debut but failed to beat a rival home in Listed class at Newbury last time out. Tough ask to concede weight to all but surely better than the Newbury run and yard won this in 2017.
Not beaten far when fourth at Carlisle on debut and that form is working out okay with the runner-up winning since. Sure to improve for that and drop back in trip shouldn't be an issue given he's speedily bred.
Showed ability on debut but the winner didn't frank the form and his next run at Goodwood was disappointing when turned over at odds-on. Beaten favourite again at Nottingham and an Official Rating of 87 surely overestimates him; blinkers on.
A maiden after five starts but only narrowly denied on handicap debut at Nottingham. Beaten favourite in Carlisle maiden and drop in trip not guaranteed to suit.
Showed improved form when finish third here (6f) on his third career start and finished a good second behind a talented sort on handicap debut. Better than he showed when fifth at Nottingham last time (Clan Royale fourth) and respected down in trip.
Beaten a long way when sent off at 8/1 for Beverley debut. Gelded since and should improve but others make more appeal.
Only beaten 1L on debut at Thirsk when fourth of nine. Form of that race is working out okay and yard's debutantes often improved markedly for the run; not dismissed.
Beaten a long way on heavy ground at Carlisle on debut and may do better over a bit further than this. Quicker ground should be more to his liking at least.
Form of her debut third has been done no favours subsequently and ran to a similar level when filling the same position in a 10 runner novice event at Catterick. Has more on her plate here and others preferred.
Iffraaj filly, half-sister to a 7f winner. Dam a 1m4f winner and half-sister to a Listed winner over a similar trip. May find this on the sharp side and this is a tough race to make a debut in.
Forecasts
Alben Spirit (9/4), Clan Royale (7/2), Leapers Wood (7/2), No Mercy (5/1), Sam's Call (12/1), Lady Nectar (16/1), Ishvara (16/1), Willing To Please (25/1), Northern Celt (50/1), Unifier (66/1)
NO MERCY may have a bit to find on form but there was a lot to like about his run at this venue earlier in the campaign and he was probably undone by the soft ground last time out. With the drop back in trip and quicker ground likely to suit, the son of Sepoy makes most appeal. Sam's Call is likely to improve from his promising debut while Ishvara and Alben Spirit are two more to consider with the former representing 2017's winning yard.
- No Mercy
- Sam's Call
- Alben Spirit
