Hard to fault recent efforts in defeat in this grade, but he has creeped up the weights as a result and this is a stronger contest than he has recently been running in. Has to concede weight away to some lightly raced sorts as well.
Proved a major disappointment when failing to justify market favouritism (11/8f) in hat-trick bid when last seen, which was over 1m6f. Form of that race has worked out very well though, and he is still unexposed so has to be given another chance.
Vulnerable to younger, improving types. Should get involved if able to reproduce the form of his latest two efforts though, which have came in competitive staying events. Still 7lb above last winning mark as he drops in trip.
Only ever ran on AW and gained third career success when successful at Lingfield (1m2f; standard) over slightly shorter last month. Up in the weights, but step up to 1m4f could unlock further improvement.
Things seemed to click when he got off the mark at the fifth attempt on the AW at Kempton (1m4f; standard to slow) last time. Looked to have more in the locker then, so he should cope with subsequent 4lb rise. Major claims of following up.
Gone backwards since winning at Chester (1m4f; soft) over this trip back in June, including when well-beaten in a lower grade contest over this C&D three starts ago. Others are less exposed, and so he doesn't hold an overly attractive profile.

The feature race of the night, and this looks a good race for the grade. After breaking his maiden duck at the fifth attempt when a cosy winner at Kempton, DEAL A DOLLAR appeals as one to now go on and achieve better things for his trainer who is in great form and excels with late maturing types. After blowing out in a competitive renewal of the Melrose handicap at York, Universal Order is worth another chance as he looked to be going the right way prior to that no show. Despite being raised 5lb after securing a first handicap victory, Cantiniere is unlikely to have stopped progressing just yet with the step up in trip likely to bring about more improvement.
