Course winner (7f) who seeks the hat-trick after doubling up at Nottingham (1m½f, soft); that latter form was boosted by the subsequent success of runner-up G For Gabrial; 7lb higher in the weights.
Wolverhampton winner (7f) who lost the race in the stewards room after a barging match on his next start at Haydock (7f, soft); folded tamely when beaten by a stablemate of Gallaside latest; stamina doubts over 1m from a 5lb higher mark.
Camelot colt (€90,000 yearling); posted a career best performance on nursery debut at Windsor (1m, good to firm) when beating the Archie Watson-trained Dramatic Sands by 1¾L; a subsequent 4lb rise appears to be relatively fair; stable in-form.
Progressive; turned over the odds-on favourite St Ives in a tactical three-runner affair here (7f) early last month; cost 130,000gns as a yearling and retains plenty of scope for tackling today's longer trip; could be underestimated.
£16,000 yearling; surprise 33-1 winner on his second start at Musselburgh (7f, good) in July; backed that up with a reasonably solid third-placed finish at Windsor (1m) a few weeks later; this race looks to be a tougher assignment.

Forecasts
Gallaside (10/11), Arthur's Court (11/4), Hexagon (3/1), Bravo Faisal (6/1), Rich Belief (7/1), Anniemation (20/1)
The most high-profile nursery of the season at Newcastle, although the Blaydon Race is a shadow of former Bank Holiday glories of yesteryear. That said; an interesting race lies in store with course winner Gallaside seeking the hat-trick for Archie Watson, the Camelot colt Arthur's Court having shown improvement for making a step up in trip, and Bravo Faisal feasibly underestimated after winning a tactical three-runner contest. However, owing largely to an exceptional strike-rate at Newcastle (6-14; 43%), small stakes are played on the Roger Charlton-trained HEXAGON. This consistent Acclamation gelding was a deserving winner at Ffos Las just over three weeks ago.
- Hexagon
- Arthur's Court
