Won over 1m6f at Redcar earlier in the campaign and fairly consistent since; was a close-up third of just four in a Class 4 handicap at at Catterick last time and will appreciate this ease in grade. Still a stern challenge on these terms.
Was conceding 6lb when he finished a head behind Cuba Ruba over C&D last month and has to merit serious consideration in his bid to turn the tables table on his penalised rival now they race off level weights. Big player this time.
Steady improvement before winning over C&D latest and highly respected despite the 6lb penalty. Any rain will help his cause but he needs a lot to go his way to cope with the extra weight if he runs pound-for-pound to form with Three Castles.
Modest form so far but there were encouraging signs last time out and possible the fitting of blinkers and step up in trip will bring more out of the gelding. His stable appears to have a live chance with Three Castles so he still needs to improve.
Was 5lb wrong at the weights and 33/1 in the betting when she won at Ayr last month but the filly relished the stamina test and was a worthy winner in the end. This isn't much tougher and she's only 2lb higher, so is respected in her follow up bid.
Form to reverse with both Cuba Ruba and Three Castles after finishing just over 2L behind that pair here nine days ago. The fitting of cheekpieces can help but the gelding was readily outpaced near the finish last time and he now has a bit to find.
0-8 but is unexposed at the trip so might find more. However, the filly already has something to find with Three Castles judging by their encounter over 1m at Carlisle in June and she faces a stiff test in her bid to reverse the form.
Forecasts
Three Castles (5/2), Iron Mike (10/3), Fantastic Ms Fox (9/2), Cuba Ruba (11/2), Magrevio (11/2), Lizzie Loch (10/1), Royal Countess (18/1)
THREE CASTLES can reverse last month's C&D form with Cuba Ruba if the race goes to plan. There was very little to split the pair last time but the latter's 6lb penalty might prove to be the decisive factor on this occasion. Lizzie Loch was a surprise winner last time out but won her race on merit, so is also respected in her follow up attempt. Fantastic Ms Fox is eased in grade so would also be very dangerous to underestimate.
