Found her form for this yard winning three of her last six races (including over C&D) turning in some gritty performances (finds plenty for pressure). Ran a sound race in a much higher grade last time (cheekpieces on); needs a good test of stamina.

Useful handicap form when trained in Ireland (won twice over 6f, wore headgear); shaped with real encouragement on her return to action/stable debut at Carlisle, 6f, last time. Headgear left off last time and again today; one to be interested in.

Too free to do herself justice last time over 1m she will appreciate a step back to 7f (all her wins at/around this distance). Trainer has a good record with his handicappers here (10-25 since 2015); good chance she will bounce back to form.

Won her first three races around here (including one over this trip); taken time to get back to her best this year but showing signs of doing so last two starts. Both those runs have come at 6f; clearly goes well here, 6lb below last winning mark.

Form of her C&D maiden win looks a touch fragile (pace scenario favoured her); ran her best race last time back in handicaps. Despite her C&D win, looked better suited by a more galloping track (Redcar) last time; mark still looks stiff, more needed.

Front-runner who attempted to back up her June Chester win over C&D (just failed) in early July; below form since then she needs to find her form again. Possible that a return to this course will spark that but does face pace pressure in this field.

Verdict

Given the state of affairs surrounding the pace profile of this race its unlikely that this will be run at a false pace with two or three that have been shown to good effect from the front around here before. Eponina, Chica De La Noche and C&D winner Rose Mamara could be vying for a look at the front and that could lead to a pace collapse. Such a scenario would suit RUX RUXX best, a filly who needs a real test of stamina at this trip; it doesn’t take much imagination to see her swopping late to record her fourth win for Tim Easterby. Strawberryandcream will relish a similar situation while Kindly and Arabian Jazz can’t be ruled out in a fascinating little contest.
