Was successful twice in August 2018 but then had a break off the track to have a wind-op. Did not far well on his return to the track over hurdles at Windsor (2m) as he finished 11th of 14. Has since has had another wind-op. One to watch for now.
Won over this C&D in August 2018. He started his campaign this season with victory at Chepstow (1m4f) but has been unable to follow that up. Finished second of eight last time at Bath (1m2f). Back up in trip. Each-way claims.
Both of her career wins have come over this C&D, including her success two starts back. She was disappointing last time over this C&D though as she was last of five runners. Drops down 1lb for her latest attempt. Can't be ignored here.
Broke his maiden on his latest start here over 1m2f, scoring by an impressive 3L in what was the sixth outing of his career. He has gone up 6lb in the weights but he is open to improvement at this new distance. One for the shortlist.
Dual-purpose gelding who has won four times on the Flat on turf. His form this season has been disappointing, including last time when he was fourth of five at Yarmouth over this distance. Down 2lb but needs to improve to be in the mix.
Has yet to score in four attempts, however, she came close last time on her handicap debut where she was second of five at Beverley (1m4f) after going off as the evens favourite. This slightly shorter trip should suit. Leading player.
Forecasts
Culture (11/8), Dubious Affair (2/1), Carp Kid (9/2), Tiar Na Nog (9/1), Roundhead (20/1), Bartholomew J (25/1)
DUBIOUS AFFAIR came close to breaking her maiden on her handicap debut where she led for the majority of the 1m4f contest at Beverley. She has the chance to go one place better here over what looks the ideal trip so take the filly to open her account. Culture was impressive here last time to break his maiden and although he has been put up 6lb by the handicapper, he should be competitive once again at this track, while Tiar Na Nog is a two-time C&D winner so should do much better than her latest attempt.
