Upped 7lb latest for winning over Newbury previously (first win in 11 races) he ran another excellent race to finish second of 16 at Newmarket over 6f. Clearly then in fine form now and looks sure to again make a bold bid.
Not beaten far over C&D two starts back off a mark of 79 but well held off this revised 81 latest at Chepstow taking his record to 0-6 when rated over 80. Won one of his 10 in 2019 but overall others just look better handicapped.
C&D win penultimately her fourth win in 10 since joining this yard. Very keen in tactical race at Epsom latest when last of six but can do better here although handicapper may have caught up for now.
Winner here over 5½f penultimately before sixth of seven over C&D behind re-opposing Alicia Darcy. 12lb better off today with that rival however so 3¾L distance could be bridged and he certainly merits respect.
Bolted up by 7L over C&D in first run since wind surgery and won again at Newmarket latest when 5lb well in under his penalty (third in between). Now must run off career-high mark but looks a transformed horse so could easily overcome it.
Won a Bath nursery last year off a 3lb higher mark but not made the frame since in five races including four this season. First-time blinkers are cause for some hope now but too risky to propose at this stage.
Forecasts
Chatham House (11/8), Cent Flying (11/4), Alicia Darcy (7/1), Enthaar (15/2), Red Alert (8/1), Michaels Choice (11/1)
Impressive C&D winner CENT FLYING looks a different horse since having a wind-operation and even under this new revised handicap mark he is fancied to gain a third win in four starts since the procedure. Thriving three-year-old Chatham House and potentially now well enough handicapped Enthaar are also realistic propositions.
