Good effort on debut backed up with a near miss behind an improved rival latest. Not looked the easiest of rides either time previously but still shown a lot of promise. He's a half-brother to an AW winner, so worth considering on synthetics debut.

10,000 gns yearling; dam is an unraced half-sister to the useful Kithonia, who, in turn, was placed at Listed level (effective from 7f up to 1m4f). Will probably be better for the run and looks more of a long term prospect.

Cheap purchase who was never a factor on debut (7f, good) at Leicester eight days ago. Big improvement required from the colt if he's going to get involved here.

A Due Diligence colt out of decent AW sprinter Aubrietia (a multiple winner on the Fibresand). Other family traits suggest stamina over this trip shouldn't be too much of a concern; lack of previous experience a bit of a worry though.

Was slow from the gates on debut (Kempton, 1m, Polytrack) and never really on terms to mount a serious challenge. Should be wiser for the experience but the form looks ordinary. A step forward needed.

A half-brother to a winning juvenile and is out of a well-bred mare; his yard is respected with runners of this type and this fellow is one of the more appealing debutantes. Worth monitoring in the betting.
Fluffed the start under Jamie Spencer on debut in a novice auction at Newmarket but still caught the eye by staying in well inside the final furlong. Bred to be effective at this trip and this not a much stronger race; player if live to the stalls.

Verdict

TAKE ME TO THE SKY needs to break on better terms than he did on his debut but, assuming he's learned from the experience, he still created a favourable enough impression to get the nod as the one to be with this time. Berkshire Savvy hasn't looked the most straightforward character in two previous runs but stuck to the task well to finish second last time out. He's got more to offer and can be a player in a modest contest such as this. As can Silver Samurai and Doctor Nuno, who both appeal on pedigree and won't need to be out of the ordinary to get involved in the action at the business end.
  1. Take Me To The Sky
  2. Berkshire Savvy
  3. Silver Samurai
