Almost a year since he won at Kempton for his former yard but form has dipped markedly since then. Off since June and faces a stiff task under top weight on debut for a new yard. Others make more appeal.

Highly experienced individual and perhaps surprising he's never raced at this course before now; best at 6f on turf but two previous AW wins came over 7f. On a very workable mark and would open new avenues if he handles the Tapeta surface.

Makes her debut at this course and it has to be a worry that she's never yet won beyond 5f; previous starts at this trip were unconvincing. Others make more appeal despite the filly having fewer miles on the clock than many of the others.

A three-time C&D winner (and once at 7f) so knows his way around here with aplomb. Form has been mixed since his last course win but he's won from a wide draw here before so dangerous to underestimate. Worth a betting check.

Ran well to be second on his only previous run at Dunstall Park (over 7f) but has been regressive since. Starts for his current yard have been punctuated by a couple of short breaks and he's been well held since returning from the latest lay-off.

Dual C&D winner and is arguably better on the AW than on turf; has won here under the intended jockey in the past so reasons to give her the benefit of any doubt. Can make the frame at least if able to better recent turf form.

Won a C&D maiden on his belated racecourse bow as a three-year-old and run some of his better races when tried back here. Lost his way for his previous yard, though, and might be best just watched on his first run for a new trainer.

Experiments with headgear yielded a return when the filly made most to win a Class 6 handicap in a visor on her penultimate start; well held behind Dandelion at Lingfield subsequently, though. Now tried in an eye-shield but still something to find.

Won over C&D in April (a quick follow up from a win at Chelmsford the previous week) not so good on turf since but is down in grade and ran well last time; so can make her presence known. Needs to improve for the switch back to the AW.

C&D winner last July but only shown intermittent flashes of the same since. Been off since three poor runs at the start of summer but a market move could be tempting now he's on a career lowest mark. In-form jockey booked but still risk attached.

Verdict

All of these have been hard to predict over the last twelve months or so and we're in for a typically tough AW sprint handicap for the time of year. However, PEACHEY CARNEHAN is already a three-time C&D winner and has a good chance of bouncing back in this company now he's back at his favourite course. Dandilion is respected on the best of her efforts but her wins to runs ratio isn't great and the follow up bid is compromised by the 5lb penalty for winning at Lingfield 11 days ago. Therefore, it might pay to side with Santafiora as the best alternative as she has a better record here at Dunstall Park and might give the selection the most to think about this time.
