Fared best of those held up on handicap debut at Salisbury recently and that was a 0-85 contest so quick drop into this lower grade an obvious plus and should have more to come.

Wasn't progressing when with Richard Hannon and sold since last run in April for 7,000 gns. Now tries turf for the first time so something to prove for now.

Good effort from the front on AW debut last time when runner up at Chelmsford and previous run on turf puts her in the mix. Lightly raced and should have more to offer.

Bit disappointing at Carlisle last time considering previous run at Beverley had hinted at better. Cheek pieces tried last time persevered with today.

Trainer having a cracking run and this one improved plenty for first time blinkers when winning at Yarmouth recently. 4lb higher but if headgear works again must be on the short list.

Too keen in first time blinkers when disappointing on latest. Headgear now dispensed with but has to prove he stays this far as two previous runs at 1m have been inconclusive.

Finished last season on a low and has yet to fire this season in two runs. Off since May and plenty to prove at present.

Looked to find heavy ground against at Carlisle on latest so the 3lb drop is pretty fair back on a more suitable surface and one to consider.

Age: 3|  Weight: 8-8| J: Phil Dennis| T: M Dods| OR:  56

Lightly raced, and first attempt at this trip last time brought about improved display when well backed at Pontefract recently. Likely to have more to come at this trip.

Inconsistent maiden who would have claims on Ayr third in July but hasn't built on that since and first time cheek pieces need to work the oracle.

40/1
Lightly raced but hinted at better when last seen over 6f at Ripon and although absent since, is bred to do better at this trip and worth watching in market.

Laura Louise92
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-2| J: Izzy Clifton(7)| T: N Tinkler| OR:  49
50/1
Has had little luck in running last two runs when tried in headgear so not as bad as form figures may imply but off since May and others have more compelling claims.

Forecasts

Rudy Lewis (4/1), Purgatory (9/2), Jem Scuttle (6/1), Beautiful Gesture (6/1), Charlie's Boy (6/1), Mac Ailey (11/1), Fox Kasper (14/1), Gunnison (16/1), My Boy Lewis (22/1), Schnapps (25/1), Good Looker (40/1), Laura Louise (50/1)

Verdict

RUDY LEWIS looked at Salisbury as though he had a handicap in him and this drop in class gives him the opportunity to get off the mark. Purgatory, like so many from the Chris Wall yard looked progressive on latest and has to rate a threat while Charlie's Boy is another to consider.
  1. Rudy Lewis
  2. Purgatory
  3. Charlie's Boy
