With Simon Crisford as a juvenile, only returning from a lengthy absence for a new trainer in July; caught the eye of the handicapper (is due a 7lb rise) when a keeping on third to Storting in a recent 1m Pontefract novice.
Yet to make his mark in six starts for Geoff Harker, but is a three-time turf winner (6f-1m) on the continent (Spain and France); career low mark on return to the AW.
4lb higher than when a ½L winner over 5f here in November (form isn't overly strong); ran his race when finishing fourth to Ingleby Molly over 6f here three weeks ago; first start over 7f since racecourse debut (Feb 2018).
21-race maiden who faced a stiff task behind a former stablemate in a 7½f Beverley claimer on his penultimate start; sixth of 15 to Chaplin Bay (today's rival Sophia Maria second) at Catterick subsequently.
Brighton regular (1m-1m2f) who recently left Laura Mongan for £2,500; feasibly handicapped if the change of scenery and switch to blinkers can rekindle a spark; that said; others clearly hold more obvious claims.
Yet to win on the AW, or anywhere for that matter since the summer of 2017. However, has finished runner-up here (7f-1m) on a couple of occasions, including when beaten a nose by Beverley Bullet (runs earlier) latest.
Disappointing through the middle half of the season, but now appears to be back on track; 3lb well-in after being caught close home by Chaplin Bay at Catterick (7f, soft) 11 days ago; major player with cheekpieces retained.
Runner-up in a 6f Kempton nursery last August (her standout piece of form); very lightly raced since and admittedly has plenty to prove after pulling up on seasonal reappearance at Chelmsford (1m) in July.
Lowly-rated eight-race maiden; possibly flattered when 5L third to Dawn Delight in a 6f course novice in January; nearest at the finish (sixth) behind today's rival Im Dapper Too over C&D latest.
Formerly with Adrian Wintle; struck at the second time of asking for this trainer when always towards the fore in a 7f Class 7 handicap at Lingfield (standard) 17 days ago; more required off a 3lb higher mark.
Nine-race maiden who has toiled in each of his last three starts (1m-1m2f); it's difficult to identify a positive angle, so connections have precious little to lose by dropping back to 7f.
Lightly raced 3yo who is a half-brother to three winners, including the winning miler After The Goldrush; displayed pace until weakening at the furlong pole on handicap debut at Leicester (1m, heavy); certainly shouldn't be discounted.
Catterick specialist; dropping steadily down the weights after struggling for form; most effective over 6f (earlier in his career) so it's considered highly unlikely that Sedgefield-based trainer Rebecca Menzies will be saddling the winner here.

Forecasts
Im Dapper Too (5/1), Three C's (6/1), Sophia Maria (13/2), Proceeding (13/2), The Bull (7/1), Ningaloo (7/1), Fard (10/1), With Approval (14/1), Eldelbar (16/1), Heart In Havana (16/1), Gun Case (16/1), Searanger (18/1), Roca Magica (50/1), Tommycole (66/1)
A tough finale in which a handful of lightly raced types are considered, namely the pacy Heart In Havana. Three C's was a Polytrack winner for George Boughey on his most recent start, while Im Dapper Too was the next best thing to a winner when narrowly failing to reel in Beverley Bullet over 1m here on Ladies Day. Furthermore, with the fitting of cheekpieces clearly proving beneficial for Sophia Maria, she's expected to go very close for James Bethell. However, a more sporting selection is the Newcastle regular GUN CASE. Very fairly weighted on peak form he represents the bang-in-form Hawick-based trainer Alistair Whillans.
- Gun Case
- Sophia Maria
- Im Dapper Too
