Last win came in this last year off 9lb higher. Ran well enough at Carlisle two starts back but still nowhere near that winning form and generally disappointing since.

Gained a long overdue success on turf when scoring over this trip at Ayr when clearly suited by soft ground. Time of the race was fine and remains well handicapped. Further rain a plus.

Seven-race maiden left some poor runs behind when fourth when wide over this trip at Beverley. Suited by cut in the ground and potentially well handicapped down in grade.

C&D winner off 2lb higher back in May. Last two runs have been poor but possibility that a return to a softer surface may bring a turnaround in form.

Now 3lb lower than sole success from 29 starts. Suited by a return to a softer surface last time and hard to discount in similar conditions.

Just three wins from 52 starts and both winning turf starts coming on quick ground does raise questions, but he's put up some fair efforts in testing conditions of late. Still proving hard to predict.

C&D winner up 5lb for latest win (career number nine) but that leaves him still well handicapped. Has really hit form in testing conditions and further rain would see him likely go close once again.

Former C&D winner appreciates cut in the ground and ended a very long losing run when scoring at Thirsk over 6f. Surprised to see him dropped back to this trip when fourth at Catterick. Place possibilities.

Infrequent winner but suited by juice in the ground. Yet to win below 6f but has raced to a good level at this trip the last twice. No reason he shouldn't be competitive again.

C&D winner in June off 3lb lower and handles most ground. Last two runs though have been very poor and probably best watched until signs of more.

Sole win from 23 starts came on the AW off 7lb higher. May be better suited by 6f but remains consistent, handles the ground and place possibilities again.

Winner here over 6f, handles cut but just four wins from 51 starts despite 10 seconds. Would need to raise his game on latest turf form.

Verdict

There's quite a few in with a chance in an open lower grade handicap. Piazon heads here off the back of a good win and goes well in the conditions. SWISS CONNECTION ran a big race in a higher grade last time and will be suited by the likely ground. One Boy is on a fine run of form and is one of many who would be suited by further rain.
