Fame And Glory mare was well backed to win a Newton Abbot bumper last month and oblige, with the second and third both scoring next time out. Should be capable of having a say on hurdling debut.
Experienced and exposed mare on the Flat, with five wins in 35 starts. Would be a surprise should she make a winning start in this discipline.
Poor mare on the Flat, struggling in sprints over the last three years, would be a brave call to place faith in her now tackling jumps for the first time.
Dual Flat winner over 1m4f last year, earning a rating of 91, has been mostly competitive this term but does come here off a poor run at Sligo. Makes jumps debut and market should reveal plenty.
Runner-up over C&D on hurdles bow (sent off 66-1) in June, hasn't matched that in two runs since at Bellewstown and Sligo, ensuring she has something to prove at the moment.
Tailed off or pulled up in all five starts in maiden hurdles, would require a massive leap of faith to forecast a hand at the business end now.
Unraced Dubai Destination mare, trainer tends to do well with hurdlers, so worth a look in the betting, though entitled to come on for this experience. Hood added now.
Six-race maiden over timber, has failed to build on a run at Cork in April when finishing second of 19 over 2m3f. Hard to enthuse about in current mood.
Won a point-to-point in April 2018, her 11th start in that sphere. Has twice run in bumpers since, either side of a 367-day absence, without threatening. Needs more on hurdling debut.
Long-standing maiden both on Flat and over timber, never a serious threat in six previous tries in this code and can be overlooked again.
Nothing if not consistent in handicaps this season over timber, Noel Meade's charge reverts to maiden company and has the form to land this prize.
Long-standing maiden in both codes, she was fourth in this contest a year ago and has finished second as recently as this month at Sligo over jumps. Place claims.
Promising start at Killarney in May when third in maiden hurdle (2m1f, good; 66-1) at big price, but has been tailed off since at Tramore and in a bumper at this track. Tongue-tie added now and has to bounce back/improve.
Forecasts
Iamastartoo (6/4), Echo Park (13/8), Josie Abbing (8/1), Misty Mountain (12/1), The Perch (14/1), Darrens Diamond (14/1), Mademoiselle Penny (25/1), Drumconnor Girl (25/1), Chazelles (33/1), Mary Ellis (33/1), Elzaa (50/1), Sarah Ash Calum (66/1), Banrion Na Speire (100/1)
Iamastartoo has been ultra-consistent in handicaps this summer and must have a leading chance now back in maiden company but a chance can be taken with jumping debutante JOSIE ABBING. She was well backed to land a Newton Abbot bumper last month and did the job, with the form since boosted by the second and third winning. Peter Fahey's mare could be up to this first time out. Having reached a rating of 91 on the Flat, it isn't hard to envisage Echo Park running well if taking to the jumps.
- Josie Abbing
- Iamastartoo
