Holding form well, and produced a career best when winning a 7½f handicap at Roscommon 11 days ago with a bit in hand. Had run of things there, but merits respect again.
Formed has rapidly tailed off since Limerick success in April, and well beaten in a claimer last time. Did have a good record over C&D when with Sabrina Harty, with three of his wins coming off much higher marks, but not the force of old.
Twice a winner last year, including over 6f here. Not really fired this year, and while she's slipping to a fair mark, she hasn't convinced with her stamina for this trip.
Has run at least respectably since winning off 8lb lower at Limerick in July, but she keeps climbing the weights despite being beaten, and now looks vulnerable.
One of five for her stable in here, and back on track with a hood fitted when fourth of 15 in a 7f handicap at Cork last time. Headgear not certain to work so well now, but place claims if building on that effort.
Showed improved form to get off the mark in a 1m½f handicap at Galway, and ran at least as well when dropped to 7f at Cork last time. Stiff test at this trip should suit, and one to consider given positive profile.
Running consistently without success, and latest third to the improved Bopedro over 7f at Cork gives him place claims. Still looks a little vulnerable to less exposed rivals, however.
Has immediately improved for switch from Ivan Furtado, making frame in big-field handicaps at Cork (6f) and over 6½f here, when a fast-finishing second to Fridtjof Nansen. Very much caught the eye there, and will be all the rage despite a 5lb rise.
Won at Limerick in July, and latest poor effort at Galway is easy enough to forgive in isolation. One of a quintet giving his trainer a very strong hand here, but Blacklooks appears the pick.
On a long losing run, and just plugged on past tired rivals at Galway last time, so hard to see him bouncing back to winning ways here.
Won a Dundalk claimer for Denis Hogan earlier this year, and while he wasn't disgraced when sixth in a similar race for his new yard last time, he's harder to fancy back in the handicap ranks.
Appreciated the less competitive environment when finally off the mark in a weak 7½f maiden at Ffos Las on his latest outing. Had struggled in handicaps prior to that, and handicapper appears to have over-reacted with a big rise in the weights.
Well held on return, but shaped much better when third in a C&D maiden last time. Makes handicap debut, and although he needs to improve again, he can't be dismissed out of hand.
Improved markedly and landed a gamble in a 1m handicap at Gowran two starts back, and ran at least as well when fourth of 22 to Acari in a 1m apprentice handicap here last time. Made most there, and should cope with the drop to 7f here.
Has won three times at Dundalk, but well held on return to turf at Naas in May. Early days with her, but early impressions is that she is a much better performer on AW compared to turf.
Won over 1m1f at Tipperary in April, and has mixed Flat and hurdling since. Well beaten on latest start in latter sphere, and this test looks too sharp, even if bouncing back.
Best effort in a trio of maidens when fifth of 13 to Mia Maria over 1m here last time. Needs to improve further to be competitive on handicap bow, but hard to rule out given lightly-raced and progressive profile.
Won back-to back handicaps at 6f/7f in June, but went up 10lb in total, and he has made only modest impact in two subsequent starts, albeit drawn wider than ideal both times.
Best effort in maidens when fifth of 16 to Drumquina in 6f event at Naas last time. Needs another step forward here, but bred to excel at longer trips, so this stiffer test is sure to suit.
Hinted at ability for Amy Murphy, bit was soundly beaten in a big-field handicap here on debut for new connections, and makes no appeal despite the fitting of blinkers.
Has 6f handicap wins here and at Naas this season, and respected on latter effort, but she was well behind Blacklooks over 6½f here last time, and has no obvious excuse for that effort.
One of a host for his powerful yard in this contest, but she's not cut much ice this year, and is hard to make a case for despite being eased in the weights.
Unplaced on all seven starts this season, and only eighth behind Cyrus Dallin at Roscommon last time. Well down the list of likely winners.

Blacklooks (7/4), Cyrus Dallin (7/1), Whatharm (8/1), Imposing Supreme (9/1), Buzz Killington (10/1), Vocatus (14/1), Fancy Footings (16/1), Massa Lubrense (20/1), Syrena (20/1), Baby Power (20/1), Silver Service (20/1), Deira Surprise (20/1), Rock On Seamie (20/1), Out On Friday (25/1), Able Jack (25/1), Jered Maddox (33/1), Munaajaat (33/1), Have A Nice Day (33/1), La Derniere Fois (33/1), Beleaguerment (33/1), Eastern Racer (33/1), Raffaello (33/1), Annabelle Rock (40/1), Mazeo Lad (50/1)
BLACKLOOKS is much the best of a quintet from the Joseph O'Brien yard here, and was a big eyecatcher over a shorter trip here last week. The step up to 7f will suit, and he looks the most likely winner in what is otherwise a trappy contest. Whatharm has raised his game of late and should remain competitive with his ability to stay 1m from the front an advantage at this track. He looks the main danger, although handicap debutant Buzz Killington is interesting having qualified over inadequate trips.
- Blacklooks
- Whatharm
- Buzz Killington
