Just done for second by Goddess in a C&D Group 2 last month, and claims with a repeat, but that run is very much a standout this year, and she was disappointing in Listed company at Gowran last time.
Running consistently, and has picked up black type for a couple of Listed placings since last autumn, but been found out at this level on her last couple of starts, and will do well to make the frame in this line-up.
Belied big odds to finish fifth in the Irish 1000 Guineas, having split Hamariyna and Trethias at Leopardstown. Ran badly at Naas in June, and fitting of a tongue-tie now suggests she had a breathing problem there. May bounce back.
Musidora fourth who is running better than her form-figures would suggest, although below form when 5¾L sixth of 14 to Goddess in listed race at Gowran last time. May have needed that after a break, though, and place claims if back to best.
Has improved recently, finishing second in a C&D Group 2 before winning a Listed race at Gowran last time by 1¼L from Tipitena. Looks a big player here if continuing on an upward curve as expected.
Highly tried since 1m win at Dundalk last October. Beaten 7L into eighth behind Winiata on her latest outing in a handicap at Leopardstown over 1¼m, and makes no appeal back up in class.
Improved on her sole juvenile start when beating Bellakris by ¾L in a 1m maiden here last month. Much more required at this level, but fact her shrewd trainer sets her this task means she can't be ignored.
Improved form in defeat since winning her maiden at Naas in June, and has place claims on her latest second of 6 to Tarnawa in Give Thanks Stakes at Cork. Seems adaptable regarding trip, staying 1¾m, but effective at 1m.
Fourth in the Listed Cairn Rouge Stakes at Killarney last month, but she has not maintained that progress, and ran badly in a similar race there last time. Has plenty to prove.
Good second in a newcomers' event at Longchamp for Nicolas Clement last autumn, and looked a decent prospect when sluicing up in a maiden at Gowran in April. Has presumably had issues since, but remains with some potential, and market useful.
Failed to stay 1½m in the Irish Oaks here, but improving prior to that blip, and easily landed a Listed race over 1¼m at Naas in June, with Goddess only fourth. Much respected on that form.
Dual winner here, including off a mark of 100 in a 1m handicap in May. Back to that form when taking a Listed race at Killarney last time, with Simply Beautiful third and Snapraeceps fourth. Shapes as though she will be even better at this trip.
Forecasts
Goddess (4/1), Trethias (4/1), Solage (4/1), Viadera (4/1), Simply Beautiful (8/1), Mia Maria (8/1), Fresnel (16/1), Dean Street Doll (20/1), Credenza (33/1), Snapraeceps (50/1), Annie Fior (50/1), Harriet's Force (66/1)
VIADERA has a couple of course wins to her name, and was strong at the finish when winning at Killarney last time, so ought to be well suited by stepping up to 1m1f now. She is preferred to Goddess and Trethias, the former expected to turn the tables with Trethias having improved since finishing fourth to that rival at Naas in June.
- Viadera
- Goddess
- Trethias
