Looking very well handicapped on old form and a recent wind operation might help the situation out, but he does need to have come on plenty for a recent run at Yarmouth. Has given trouble at the start in the past. Risky at present.
Have to go back well over a year to find the last time she got her head in front, might be fitter for three efforts after an absence but she's not really showing enough at present and others make more appeal.
Regular around here and often comes with a late rattle to shake them up but all best form at 5f and he has yet to win at this trip. Not best drawn either and he may have to wait for another day for next win.
Winner at Wolverhampton in April and almost made it home in front at Thirsk in June, beaten a neck. Below par over 7f at Wolverhampton last time but this could be more suitable and he's not ruled out.
Falling quickly in the handicap after some moderate efforts and a drop back to 6f produced no better at Nottingham last time. Hard to fancy.
Came good from a 4lb lower mark at Yarmouth in June but hasn't repeated that effort in three subsequent starts. Might prefer softer ground than is likely today and on balance, others make a little more appeal.
Beaten when hampered at Brighton last time but had previously made all to win a selling handicap there with a bit in hand. Not the most consistent around but has chances if on a going day, with this ground ideal.
Has a couple of wins to his name this season but they are both on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton and quite simply, he looks a better horse on artificial surfaces. Record of 0-14 on turf backs that up, so it's not hard to look elsewhere.
Running respectably at present, almost won over 7f here in June (only caught last few strides) but a change of headgear seemed to do little for her last time out. Chance is there to see but this 6f trip is a bare minimum for her.
Did well considering her wide draw (on the A/W) last time out, finishing second over 7f and the cheekpieces (retained today) seemingly responsible for that better effort. Drops back to 6f here but chances if the headgear works again.

Olaudah (7/2), Brockey Rise (9/2), Napping (5/1), Flying Sakhee (13/2), Roundabout Magic (8/1), Knockout Blow (8/1), Kath's Lustre (10/1), Lacan (10/1), Islay Mist (14/1), Albishr (14/1), Bernie's Boy (20/1)
BROCKEY RISE needs to put a moderate effort at Wolverhampton last time behind him but he knows how to win and these conditions tend to bring out the best in him. He can score at the expense of Knockout Blow, who similarly ran below par last time but had looked good when winning on his previous start. Islay Mist is better drawn than last time and could be hard to catch if getting an early lead, but could face competition from the well-drawn Bernie's Boy for that role.
- Brockey Rise
- Knockout Blow
- Flying Sakhee
