Scored over 7f (good) at Ayr in June, but last in the Carlisle Bell next time. Bounced back with good effort to be third at Beverley last time out, and makes the short-list.

Largely consistent, although suffered what may have just been a blip last time, having been sent out just two days after his previous run. Still weighted to be competitive, and should be thereabouts.

Scored at Beverley (7½f, good to firm) last month, and has produced three solid third-placed efforts around that. Latest effort suggests that he can again be competitive in this line-up.

Sole win came as a juvenile in novices' company. Yet to get competitive for this yards on AW. Returns to turf after four-month absence, and cheekpieces back on, but plenty to prove.

Couldn't get going earlier in the campaign, but after a slide in the weights he did much better when second over C&D (soft) recently. Ideally wants good ground or slower, but not discounted after that encouraging effort.

13lb lower than when winning at Pontefract last year, but has struggled to make a huge impact on any of his five runs this term. Much more needed.

C&D winner who is well in on last year's form, but has been well below par this season. Wouldn't be a huge shock to see a revival, but plenty to prove right now.

Scored three times at two, but yet to do so at three. Recent effort at York was another respectable one, but he will need to pull out more to be winning again.

Forecasts

Lamloom (7/2), Luis Vaz De Torres (4/1), Saisons D'Or (9/2), Fuente (5/1), Big Storm Coming (11/2), Sparklealot (6/1), Parys Mountain (13/2), Ower Fly (20/1), Regulator (25/1)

Verdict

A revival from Parys Mountain would not surprise, but at the same time he can't be relied on to do so. Lamloom is in good form again, like others from his stable, and merits plenty of respect, while Big Storm Coming and Saisons D'Or should also be thereabouts. Luis Vaz De Torres is another who can't be ruled out, but preference is for FUENTE, who is on a handy looking mark and came into some form last time.
  1. Fuente
