Hold-up performer who has been kept busy this season, winning four handicaps between 1m1f and 1¼m, the latest of which from 5lb lower at Goodwood a month ago. Back in trip here and shortlisted.
Pair of wins last summer, including Sandown handicap (1m1f, good to firm) off 86. Twice gone close this term at Newmarket, including last time over 7f. Has gone up 3lb for his troubles. Should remain competitive.
Raced right up to his best with back-to-back mile wins at Carlisle and Pontefract but then never got truly competitive at Catterick on soft ground. Clearly appreciates better ground and may get that here.
C&D winner last month on good ground, run well enough since at Thirsk (good to soft) off this mark and entitled to have a say again around here, particularly if ground holds up.
Now back within 1lb of Doncaster winning mark from last summer, hasn't exactly convinced this season he's going to strike again soon, but clearly dangerous to write off.
Back to form in deep ground the last twice, breaking a losing sequence at Haydock (1m½f, heavy) last time. Much more to do up in class and back on faster ground, and not the heartiest of battlers at times.
Multiple 1m winner, the three on turf coming on good ground or faster. Up 1lb for going close at Beverley last time. Had three subsequent winners behind that day, should have solid claims.
Winner at Ayr and Wetherby this season, but yet to truly convince he wants the mile and is high enough in the ratings for what he has achieved.

Forecasts
Ibraz (9/5), Fayez (7/2), Alfred Richardson (5/1), Irreverent (7/1), Raselasad (7/1), Mikmak (9/1), Ulshaw Bridge (10/1), Helovaplan (16/1), Rousayan (20/1)
Wide open fare in the Ripon Rowels. Alfred Richardson was a C&D last month and should be in the mix again having since run well at Thirsk, with faster ground to his liking. Rousayan similarly will appreciate better ground while Ibraz and hold-up performer Fayez are worth considering. HELOVAPLAN ran a fine race on return from a break at Beverley last month, a race that has thrown up three subsequent winners, and given his second-up record is strong, he's fancied to give this a rattle under Graham Lee.
- Helovaplan
- Alfred Richardson
