Failed to go the pace in the Stewards Cup but he has run well in some big handicaps over today's trip. His fourth in the Bunbury Cup reads well, as does his record of two wins and a close second on his last three starts in similar grade.
Has won on soft but ideally suited to today's expected faster conditions. Has slipped below his last winning mark and the jockey booking adds to the appeal. One to note if supported.
Took advantage of a kind opening mark to score on his handicap debut and the assessor exacted his revenge at Goodwood. Races off the same mark here against streetwise rivals so clearly has something to prove.
Listed winner in June last year and has got himself down to a workable handicap mark having not won since. Signs last time that he was approaching a mark he can win from, therefore another 2lb drop offers some hope.
