Best effort when second of 25 in Group 3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot in June before disappointing at Newmarket. Bounced back to form when winning well at Naas last time. Lacks the scope of some, but not dismissed out of hand.
Has kept improving gradually this term, winning a Listed race at Sandown, and ran to that level when eighth in the Queen Mary. Another solid effort when third at Goodwood last time, and not a forlorn hope if improving for this first try at 6f.
Improved to land a big-field 5f Listed race here in May, and better than the bare result on both starts since, with patient tactics backfiring when favourite at Newbury last time. Could surprise if getting the breaks, but stamina for 6f not assured.
Only defeat to date came when badly drawn in the Queen Mary, and she is a clear form pick on basis of her win in Group 3 Molecomb Stakes last time. Trying 6f for the first time, and she will be very hard to beat if staying the new trip.
Beat a good yardstick in Mighty Spirit at Beverley (5f) in July, and improved further when third to Under The Stars in the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot last time. Should have more to offer, and one to bear in mind.
Ran well when third to Liberty Beach on debut at Beverley before finding the Queen Mary too much too soon on her only subsequent start. Remains with potential, but facing a pretty stiff task on balance.
Expensive purchase who made a very promising debut when beaten less than 1L at Thirsk, and built on that when landing a decent novice at Newbury (6f) last month. Takes a big step up in class, but has lots of untapped potential, so respected.
Much her best effort when second in Group 2 Airlie Stud Stakes at the Curragh, ½L behind the classy Albigna, but could finish only fourth to stablemate Love when favourite for 7f Silver Flash Stakes last time. May be worth another chance.
Night Of Thunder filly who overcame some trouble in running to win at Ripon on debut, and then showed much-improved form to land the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot last time. Entitled to progress again, and looks a danger to all.
Daughter of Dabirsim who impressed in the paddock, and overcame greenness to make a winning debut in a 6f Newbury maiden 16 days ago. This step up in class comes pretty quickly, but she looks a filly of some potential, and holds a Group 1 entry.
Forecasts
Liberty Beach (15/8), Under The Stars (5/1), Wejdan (6/1), Celtic Beauty (8/1), Nasaiym (8/1), Precious Moments (9/1), Living In The Past (12/1), Good Vibes (20/1), Flippa The Strippa (25/1), Moon Of Love (50/1)
The extra furlong is something of an unknown for LIBERTY BEACH, but she stands out on her form to date, and will be hard to beat if staying. Under the Stars is an obvious danger after winning the Princess Margaret Stakes on just her second start, while Flippa The Strippa is an interesting outsider with her form, including when conceding 3lb to a subsequent Listed winner at Goodwood last time, looking solid. Wejdan and Nasaiym are open to plenty of improvement and also need consideration.
- Liberty Beach
- Under The Stars
- Flippa The Strippa
