C&D winner of this contest 12 months ago off a 12lb lower mark. Last win came at Navan in October but the Rock Of Gibraltar gelding has been generally out of form since returning to action in April. Blinkers back on to ignite improvement.
Another in the race to have won over C&D when landing a maiden contest at this festival 12 months ago. Not disgraced in a number of defeats this term and likely to give a good account of himself here.
Has failed to add to his sole win on the Flat when landing a 1m1½f contest at Gowran Park in September on heavy ground. Ran well in defeat at the Galway festival earlier this month and is not easy to discount.
Landed a second career win on the Flat when winning at Ballinrobe on her penultimate start in June off a 5lb lower mark. Beaten since but capable of a bold bid if fully ready following a month off.
Four from 25 on the Flat, the Kyllachy gelding ran well in defeat over hurdles earlier this month at the Galway festival. Useful type on the level and worth a market check as post time approaches.
Winner of three of his 23 starts on the Flat, hitting the frame on a further seven occasions. Ran a terrific race in defeat at the Galway festival last month finishing second of 20 beaten 1¾L behind Great White Shark. Merits respect.
Solid and consistent Camelot gelding who deserves a change in fortune having hit the frame on a couple of occasions since last month when not beaten far. Should go well again.
Bumper winner who proceeded to win on hurdling debut at Punchestown in May. Has finished in the runner-up position on each of his three starts since making his Flat debut last month. Deserves a change in luck.
Built on a series of good efforts when battling to maiden success at the Curragh before posting another win at the Galway festival last month off a 7lb lower mark. Beaten since but a leading player once again.
Winner over hurdles on his latest start the Casamento gelding is one from six on the Flat, not adding to the figure since winning a Naas maiden on debut two years ago. Too early to be ruling out just yet.
Winner of a Clonmel 2m handicap on seasonal debut in April, the geldings third win on the Flat in nine starts. Beaten since but capable of a big run.
Forecasts
Davids Charm (2/1), Millswyn (6/1), Run For Mary (6/1), Halimi (8/1), Dalton Highway (9/1), Legal Spin (10/1), Golden Spear (12/1), Brazos (12/1), Flicker Flame (18/1), Prospectus (20/1), Nibiru (33/1)
The Joseph O'Brien-trained MILLSWYN can turn the tables on his last time out conqueror Halimi following their battle at the Galway festival earlier this month. The Camelot gelding was hampered in the closing stages at Ballybrit and can get revenge on the Godolphin colt ahead of the likes of the J J Walsh-trained David's Charm and the genuine looking, Dalton Highway.
- Millswyn
- Halimi
- Dalton Highway
